WATER TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION IN 16 TECHNEW PIPELINE SYSTEM DRAWS INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

Thursday, February 18, 2016

CONFIDENTIAL DRAFT – NOT FOR RELEASE Information on Demonstration The patented process will show how tuberculation, corrosion, biofilms and old tar-based liners can be removed from the inside of drinking water pipes. The Tomahawk™ system demonstrated is a dry process (no water used) that allows the pipes to be cleaned and prepared for relining in a way that allows them to be returned to service in the same day (no alternate water service needed). The demonstration will be held indoors (heated warehouse) so there is no concern about February weather and free parking is available. Typical demonstration area (indoor) and pipeline condition improvements:

INTERNATIONAL PIPELINE DEMONSTRATION IN 16 TECH

Water infrastructure has become a major issue in 2016 as aware-ness of the problems with aging pipes gets national attention. We’re pleased to host a delegation from China to see how the Tomahawk™ System developed in Canada uses an innovative same-day, dry process to clean and reline water mains with a barrier coating that encapsulates lead and other contaminants.

This technology demonstration is being presented in a partnership with Global Water Technologies, IUPUI, Envirologics and the national Trenchless Technology Center and is one of the first such events to be held in the new 16 Tech district of Indianapolis.

Invited guests include U.S. EPA, water utility and engineering staff, industry professionals and researchers. Space is limited.
