The winner of the annual celebrity Goat Milking contest designates the charity who will receive the prize money.
Contestants have a whole lot of fun trying their skills of goat milking while being cheered on by the enthusiastic audience.
Last year, Wayne County’s own—PBA Hall of Fame Pro Bowler, Doug Kent, as well as other various celebrities from all walks of life,
made a very interesting blend of participants. Come see who will be in the running this year!
Showmanship events, held at the Livestock Barn/Arena and adjacent tents, is an important part of the fair’s agricultural events.

to enter the 24th annual Wayne county Fair Pie contest!
This highly contested event brings out the best in pie bakers across the county. The judging
process is very involved in determining which of the participants have made the best scratch
fruit pie. Mott’s Corporation/Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Van’s Auction Service and Reynold’s Auction Company are sponsors.
Men, women and even children have been past winners of the $50 top prize. The top six bakers receive beautiful rosettes and cash awards.
Immediately following the competition, all pie entries are auctioned off by Van’s Auction Service and Reynold’s Auction Company.
A cookbook featuring past winning recipes is available for purchase. For information contact Fair Board Director Gerry Dekdebrun
at 315-926-4926. All proceeds benefit Fair renovations.

The five-event per night program leads up to Saturday’s championship round. The driver and last car running is declared winner.

The annual Wine and Cheese Tasting Event is an enjoyable and relaxing fundraising event for the Fair. This year’s proceeds will help towards the cost of painting historic Floral Hall. Some of New York State’s best wineries will again show off their fine wines including…Anthony Road Winery, Apple Country Spirits, Heron Hill Winery, JD Wine Cellars, Lake Ontario Winery & Vineyards, Thorpe Vineyard, Ontario Barn Vineyard, Wagner Vineyards, and Young-Sommer Winery.Wegmans provides a tasty selection of unique cheeses to complement the various wines you’ll sample. To complete your tasting experience, Morgan’s Farm Market, The Apple Shed and Blue Moon Bend Farm & Creamery will provide samples. All vendors will have products for sale.

Friday niGHT is Parade niGHT!The annual Wayne County Fair Parade is one of the largest every year in the area.
Special honor is given to First Responders in the county plus supporting good neighbors in Ontario and Monroe Counties. Favorite marching bands, members of 4 -H, animals, floats
and various special performances are also showcased. The parade starts in the heart of Palmyra on Main Street then proceeds to the fairgrounds. Cash prizes are given to the best performers.

food/nutrition, horticulture, clothing/textiles, photography, various types of crafts and public speaking presentations.
