Our National Book Award finalist…AMERICAN SALVAGEStories by Bonnie Jo CampbellPublished April 2009 (paperback edition)$19.95 cloth edition (December 2009)

On October 15 it was announced that American Salvage was a finalist for the 2009 National Book Awards. WSU Press was the only University Press with a book in the fiction category—truly an amazing feat for a medium-sized scholarly press g y pwith a collection of short stories.

The Press was featured in over 30 articles by major outlets around the country and orders for the book soared. Even more importantly, the book is part of our Made in Michigan Writers series, and much attention was paid to the series and to our Press, University, city, and state.

This was a major coup for Wayne State University d it P !and its Press!
