We are proud to announce that Pranav Bharthi of grade VII swimmed his heart out to

win the gold in 2.5 kilometre Open water swim at National Junior Open Water Swimming

Championship held at Maple Beach, Udupi, Karnataka. Having known the amount of hard

work he puts in everything he does, this award is a recognition to his talent. We wish him all

the very best for the future endeavors and hope to hear many more stories of his success.

Avinash Bhatt of Grade XII and Vatsal Singhal of Grade XI proved their

commitment to excellence through their focused efforts by clearing the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Aptitude Test and is shortlisted for interview. KVPY is a scholarship program funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, aimed at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences.

Vatsal Singhal of Grade XI and B Srinidhi of Grade X also cleared Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) and is qualified for the 3rd stage INMO. RMO is organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.

LIBRARY CARNIVAL

The library carnival was held during the third week of December 2017. Mr. Rohit Garg, author of the book 'Once upon a time, Friends ' inaugurated the Carnival. Several events like book making, storytelling and story reading were conducted during the carnival week. Winners of the different contests were awarded certificates. This event highlighted the importance of reading in developing young minds.

Grade IX,X and XI students organised a Christmas carnival on22nd December, 2017,in the school campus. The students came in red and white costumes and had a great time playing various games like Memory game, Roll the Dice, Marble game, Flipping bottle, Tapping tennis ball etc. The Magic Show and Haunted House heightened the thrill and merriment. The students also relished savouries like cupcorn, panipuri, sevpuri and cookies and cakes from the stalls set up by senior students and teachers. The students also indulged in aesthetic and ornamental activities like tattoos, mehndi, caricature etc. Some students purchased quilling articles and bookmarks as souvenir. It was a fun-filled day and the excitement was at its peak till the end of the day.

CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL

TEACHER CHEF COMPETITION IIHM, International Institute of Hotel Management conducted Teacher chef competition finals for teachers on 25/11/2017.The preliminary round was exhibited by 2000 teachers from different schools of Bangalore and 10 teachers were selected among them for finals. Ms. Monalisa Chatterjee was one of the finalist from AECS MagnoliaMaaruti Public School. We are happy and proud to announce that Ms. Monalisa Chatterjee (Primary teacher) bagged the first prize and received the title of “Teacher Chef Bangalore 2017”.They honoured her with the certificate of winner ,50000 rupees as prize money , holiday package for Goa and voucher from Taj vivanta. On behalf of management, Director, Staff and Students we would like to congratulate her for her this big achievement.

ON A MUSICAL JOURNEY

SPIC MACAY(Society for promotion of Indian Classical Music amongst youth) is an organization which conducts various kinds of events like lecture, demonstrations, workshops of different art forms to expose children to their heritage and to get deeper transformational experiences in various fields like music, dance, arts and crafts. The event was held at DPS North, bangalore from 24th to30December. In this event five of our talented Magnolians participated :Sahithya Madhusudan Of Grade VI, Sahana Madhusudan of GradeVIII,Sushma.S ,SaarikaM and Deekshita J of GradeXI.Students had a remarkable opportunity to see and learn from various masters and renowned artists like Shri AlankarSingh(Gurbani), Shri RajendraGangani(Kathak)etc.Students were involved in a hectic schedule of activities like hath yoga,workshops of music,dance,art,screening of classical cinema and concerts of renowned artists. These lucky five students wouldn't have asked for a better vacation trip than spending a week in a gurukul of art in between various artists. It was truly a wonderful and memorable experience to our students.
