Exemptions
for PAA
GACE: Exemptions for
Program Admissions Assessment
1. ACT® - 21 English & 22 Mathematics
or 43 Combined;
2. GRE® - 490 Verbal & 540
Quantitative or 1030 Combined;
3. SAT® - 480 Verbal & 520
Mathematics or 1000 Combined.
Master’s Degree is eligible for exemption until July 1,
2015: This does not apply to Candidates who will begin
teaching in Academic Year 2015-16.
GACE - Induction/ Professional
• If an educator passed at the
Induction level prior to July 1,
2017, the score will continue
to count at the Professional
level.
• After July 1, 2017, educators
must meet the Professional
level score to qualify for the
Professional certificate.

Educator Ethics
Program Entry Assessment (350)
• Candidates who entered GaTAPP in
the fall of 2014 must complete the
Educator Ethics Program Entry (350)
prior to or by December 31, 2014.
• Candidates select Option 7 on MyPSC.
• Candidates entering GaTAPP on or
after January 1, 2015, must complete
Educator Ethics Program Entry (350)
prior to program admission.

Educator Ethics:
Program Exit Assessment (360)
• For NT Candidates - Passing the
Educator Ethics Exam will be
required to move from Pathway 4
to Pathway 1 OR for initial
Professional certification as of
January 1, 2015
• For NT Candidates - Educator
Ethics Program Exit Assessment
(360) is Required for Program
Completion.

• Candidates completing a
program prior to December
31, 2014 are exempted from
Ethics Exist Assessment (360)
• However, All certification
application materials are
received by GaPSC before or
on March 1, 2015.

• NT Program Providers must grant
candidate eligibility to take Ethics
Exit Assessment 360;
• NT EPPs will have a button on
NTRS to approve/confirm candidate
eligibility to take the Ethics 360;
• Candidates select option 2 on
MyPSC as the reason for testing.

• Passing edTPA will be required as
of September 1, 2015.
• NT Candidates will complete the
edTPA during their second full
semester in the classroom.
• edTPA will be required for
conversion of Induction Pathway 4.

• TKES annual evaluations will play a role in
certification.
• For SY 13-14, only Ineffective evals will count
as Unsats.
• Starting in SY 14-15, Ineffective and Needs
Development evals will count as Unsats.
• Proficient or Exemplary TKES evaluations will
be required for issuance and renewal of the
Performance-Based Professional teaching
certificate.
