Milk supply is optimized when a healthy baby is allowed to nurse as often as he/she indicates the

need. Breastfed babies (and all babies in general) should be fed on demand, not on a schedule.

Frequent removal of milk tells a woman’s body to continue to produce more milk.

Ineligible Report This report lists all participants that were made ineligible and their reason for ineligibility during the specified date range. This report differs from the Income Ineligible Report in that it includes family members with a WIC status of Ineligible for any reason, not just ineligible due to income. WICShopper – Iowa WIC’s Authorized App The WICShopper app is made available to Iowa WIC participants, agencies and vendors through a contract with the app creator, JPMA. JPMA provides support for the app and adheres to the State of Iowa’s IT security rules to keep Iowa WIC data protected. WICShopper is the only Iowa WIC authorized app.

Recently an organization called Propel has been promoting an app for SNAP and WIC that is called FreshEBT. The Iowa WIC Program does not authorize the FreshEBT app. The difference between the WICShopper app and the FreshEBT app is that the WICShopper app is contractually authorized to access and present a WIC participant’s data from the EBT host system. The FreshEBT app instead acts as a “skin” to the EBT Host portal login, meaning that they aren’t logging into information maintained by Propel, they are logging into their eWIC portal through the FreshEBT screen. This requires participants to enter their information to allow FreshEBT to access their accounts. There is no legal agreement in place between the WIC Program, its’ EBT Host processor and Propel. The Iowa WIC Program is not promoting the FreshEBT app.
