2014 Diocesan Services Appeal To date we have $161,728 in pledges toward our parish goal

from 674 of nearly 3,000 registered families.

With a new year begins a new DSA campaign. As a spiritual community, we need to respond to the wider Church as expressed by Bishop Gerald Barbarito. Our 2014 parish goal of $196,500 is only attainable with the support of the entire parish working together! Many of you received a letter and DSA offertory envelope from Bishop Barbarito asking for your support in this year’s campaign. Additional envelopes are available in the back of the church. If you return your contribution to St. Lucie Parish, your name will be noted ONCE in this bulletin There will not be a cumulative weekly listing.

Due to technical difficulties, those contributions sent directly to the Diocese of Palm Beach will not be included in the bulletin lists but be assured that our parish will have an accounting of all contributions in the weeks ahead. Prayerfully consider what you can return to God by supporting and enriching Christian lives in our Palm Beach Diocese. Let us work together in committing ourselves to this year’s campaign. Your contribution, whether mailed directly to the Diocese of Palm Beach or to St. Lucie Parish, is tremendously appreciated!

THANK YOU DONORS!

FRIARS’ PROVINCIAL CHAPTER: MAY 5TH – 9TH

Every four years all the friars are obliged to attend the Provincial Chapter. The Provincial Chapter is actually two five-day meetings when the friars choose their governing council for the next four years, policies and directives are discussed, and assignments are made for the various ministries of the province. It is also a wonderful time for liturgies, celebrations, and fraternity. The first session of the chapter is this May when the friars will be assembling in Buffalo from May 5th until May 9th. Since all the friars are obliged to attend, we have asked Fr. Jim Bowman, who often helps with our penance services, to fill in for us while we are away. Monday through Friday, May 5th – 9th, Fr. Jim will celebrate one morning mass at 8:00 AM, and will be available for any funerals or emergencies should the need arise. We are grateful for Fr. Jim’s help and know that St. Lucie will be in good hands while we are away. The second session of the chapter is the first week in August.
