Pace University or other universities in the United States. The curriculum is content-based, emphasizing the
language and skills needed to succeed in an American university and using primarily academic materials.

The summer English for Lawyers Program is designed for students who want to prepare for study in a Master of Laws (LLM) program at Pace Law School or other law schools in the US.
Term length 6 Weeks Fee $3,480

Fee for Full-Time Enrollment(20 hours per week)
• Develop legal writing skills and academic legal style
• Learn reading strategies and legal vocabulary for understanding, analyzing, and orally briefing cases
• Deliver presentations on legal topics in a clear speaking style
• Learn about U.S. Common Law and other aspects of the U.S. legal system
• Visit U.S. courthouses and law firms, observe trials, meet with judges and lawyers
• Complete the program and no TOEFL test is needed for Pace Law School.

We suggest you apply three months before the start date of your program.
The deadline to apply to the ELI as an F-1 (full-time) student is one month
before the start date of classes. TRANSFER students (already holding F-1
visa and transferring their I-20) may apply up until 5 business days before
classes begin.

English for Professionals
At Pace, we believe that it’s important to have fun while you learn! The ELI coordinates many activities for our visiting students to help them make friends and explore all that New York has to offer.
Activities include:• Professional athletic events • Walking tours• Volunteer and community service opportunities• Trips to amusement parks, museums, restaurants
Pace also offers the English Conversation Partner Program, which pairs ELI students with American students at Pace.

This program trains participants in practical business English and business culture in the United States. All training is highly interactive and focused on improving your language skills for your job responsibilities and career needs.

The English Language Institute (ELI) also designs special, short-term English programs for groups any time during the year. These programs can include English language instruction, social and cultural activities, on-campus housing, and a homestay experience. The ELI has worked with groups from around the world to design and deliver the following special programs:

• Medical English Program for Japanese Medical School Students
• Academic Writing Course for German University Students
• Intensive English Program and Business Course for French Business Students
• Summer Language and Culture Programs for Chinese, Japanese and Romanian High School Groups

• United Nations Youth Assembly English Preparation Program for Taiwanese Youth
