We want our light(s) to shine bright on our new "Complete Streets Project," down Minnesota Avenue, in our small, west-central Minnesota, town of Glenwood. We are located in the heart of our community, right on "main street," on the south side of MN Hwy 29. Our beauful brick building has graced this locaon for 103* years. We have three lighng projects, that all face outward, highlighng our lovely stained-glass windows. These are lighng soluons that need to be updated, and all three are no longer in working order. What we are raising money for: a new lighng soluon, that is more cost effecve, energy efficient, and aesthecally inspiraonal to all who walk or drive by on this busy street. We have priorized the projects and will proceed as we raise the funds. See photo below for a look at the three areas in relaonship to the street. We want our light(s) to shine bright on our new "Complete Streets Project," down Minnesota Avenue, in our small, west-central Minnesota, town of Glenwood. We are located in the heart of our community, right on "main street," on the south side of MN Hwy 29. Our beautiful brick building has graced this location for 103* years.

We have three lighting projects, that all face outward, highlighting our lovely stained-glass windows. These are lighting solutions that need to be updated, and all three are no longer in working order. What we are raising money for: a new lighting solution, that is more cost effective, energy efficient, and aesthetically inspirational to all who walk or drive by on this busy street. We have prioritized the projects and will proceed as we raise the funds.

See photo below for a look at the three areas in relationship to the street. These are the stained-glass windows we would like to illuminate to be seen by all who pass by.

*Our congregation is actually 139 years old, we were located approximately two blocks north of the current structure, which was built in 1916.

A) Exterior Chancel Lighting: Exterior lights shine on the three tall stained-glass windows over the altar in the Chancel area, so that the windows are lit during evening worship services and events. These lights just started to malfunction, we'd like to get them repaired prior to Advent services, and they are our first priority. Estimate to replace existing lighting: $2,000. (photo on previous page)

B) Exterior Choir Loft Lighting: Large stained-glass window panel, located behind the pipes for our organ and the balcony/choir loft area of the sanctuary, facing the street. This window used to be lit from the inside, on a timer, so that those passing by would see this beautiful panel of windows at night, right below the steeple and the cross. Unfortunately, it has not worked in many years. Estimate to replace existing lighting: $3,000.

C) Chapel Cross Lighting: Our adjoining chapel (see diagram to the left and below) has a beautiful stained-glass cross above the altar, that also faces the street. This cross was outlined in neon, and was on a timer, it needs repair and we have been unable to find a neon specialist to do the work. We would like to light it from the inside so that the beautiful stained-glass cross appears lit through the dark nights. Estimate to replace existing lighting: $2,000.

Help us to let our light shine as an inspiration to those over the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons and into the dark and cold winter nights ahead. God bless all who pass, all who enter, and all who participate and donate to this endeavor
