The Web-Based System in Action The server is a

computer The server holds

information (learning material) and directs communication

Client is the program (browser, e-mail)

Student use the client program to ask the server for information

Student and teacher use the network to connect to the server

CASE STUDY: Course Administration

Each student belongs to some group during course delivery tour

Students group is attributed to some teacher (tutor)

For the course management administrator’s tools are used

Site services (Guides, information about modules, registration for the course, contact information) are available

CASE STUDY: Tutoring

The course requires tutoring. Tutors (teachers) must be trained.

The tutor has a responsibility to guide a learning of the one group.

Teacher uses the tools: for learning material loading into library for course content adaptation for group test preparation in portfolio test adaptation for group test assignment for students' group

Evaluation

Types of system evaluation The platform and software used The effectiveness The impact of a learning system on educators

and students The efficiency The usability The quality of the systemThree simple questions:

1. What worked for you?2. What did not work well for you?3. Give three suggestions for improvement.
