Past Continuous vs Past Simple

Activity 1: Write down the proper name for each of the character.

Activity 2: Now go to the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYBF3HKzrmE and watch it. As you are watching it number the events in order from 1-6 in the movie trailer.

Activity 3: Now that you have watched the movie trailer and you know what happened develop sentences using past simple and past continuous. Use “when” or “while”.

Activity 4: It’s time to test your memory! Try to not look at the trailer again to see if you remember every detail! Good luck! **Remember to answer in COMPLETE SENTENCES and using PAST CONTINUOUS form.

Context Clues Context clues are clues that good readers use to find the meaning of unknown words. Clues can be pictures, helping words, words you already know, examples, explanations, punctuation, synonyms or antonyms.

For this homework, you will print the worksheet, which you will receive via email, and you will follow the instruction of it. Then you will use the same paper to do activity number 2. Please write your name on it, the date, and your teacher´s name and insert it in the inbox.

Activity 1You will read each sentence and determine the meaning of the word using the type of clue given; synonym, antonym, example, explanation or your prior knowledge. Then, explain what clues in the sentence helped you determine the word meaning.

Activity 2You will now write 5 compound-complex sentences inventing a word which doesn`t exist on each of them.

Example: This coffee tastes absolutely terrible but if you wachakala it with some water, you will be able to drink it.
