Tonight - My Story, with Les Sacre - 8pm https://youtu.be/TzO7fJqTgfI Angels Everywhere! Thank you to Cathryn Candy and the craft group and others who knitter over 200 angels. I had the privilege of blessing them before they went on their way to the children of our won St James village school, plus care homes, those housebound and many others. They will be ‘hosting the host’, and reminding us of the near presence of God’s messengers. Christingle - our collection for the Children’s Society is now over £200 - thank you everyone! Thanks from Poitiers Jenny Clemas says “the lady at Poitiers who is in charge of what goes into the deliveries has just emailed me. She has had enormous fun buying luxuries instead of basics and says the following:- "How very kind the parishioners of St James parish are to us. Please convey our gratitude for this wonderful amount and the ingenious way they went about remembering us. " Thank you! We raised £575 in the end Peter and Jenny Hinton Wish all their Aldherholt friends a Happy Christmas, and have written a special poem to mark this year - its on our website. John Towler wanted to pass on his thanks for his moving house card, and all those who remembered him. They are happily getting settled, and he has offered to come back and take the odd service, so watch this space. Thanks also from from Kathryn adn Ken Puttick for their lovely leaving gifts - garden vouchers. There was an overgrown pond which their grandchildren dug out and they used one of the tokens to buy pond side plants. They used the other token to buy a tree for their front garden, so they have a special place which is a tangible link to all their friends in St James, where they can sit and savour so many happy memories of times shared. Between 4 and 7pm, members of the church and chapel will be processing, or driving very slowly round the centre of the village - spreading Christmas cheer, adn collecting for the Alabare homeless charity. Details of the route and timings are on Facebook, or talk to Mike Botto. Apologies to Camel Green Rd - even though “I hear the voice of someone shouting, “Make a road for the Lord through the wilderness; make him a straight, smooth road” (Isaiah 40:3 - The Living Bible) - we just can’t make it smooth enough in time! What you can do is follow the procession on the interent, (in real time) and when you see it get-ting near to you you can go out and see it. We’ll send details of the link on Friday. We

could still do with a couple of stewards to walk with us - tea-towels on heads, let Mike know if you feel called.

Request for cleanersUnder the new regulations we have to sanitise and clean after every group in the Church Hall, as Brownies, Beavers and others want to restart in the new year. We have people for most days but are just 2 days short. If this is something you feel able or willing to do it would be a great help. Please let me or Holly in the office know.

Real ChoirRomey’s choir (Cranborne Community Choir) are singing in the church, in a distanced way, with no audience, on Monday night - 14th Dec. 6pm. If you’d like the zoom link to watch them, please email Romey

Tickets Please!Midnight - which is 11pm, only in church - not online - is ticket only, please ask myself or Holly. If it gets full we’ll put on another at 9pm, but you will need a ticket - and we really don’t want to be turning people away at Christmas.

Christmas Day - 10:30am in church and on line. Again, its ticket only to be in church - so please book as soon as you can.

I can imagine that many of you are holding back from committing as plans are not yet made, and others are letting non-regulars go first, which is admirable. However, there are still over a dozen spaces for each of these services, and next week I’m going to go to the wider village via Facebook, so book now to avoid disappointment, as they say!

There will be no service on Dec 27th - the Bishop has said we can zoom in to other places, like Cathedrals. We are hoping and expecting that Rev David Dennis will be celebrating Epiphany, in church and on zoom, on Jan 3rd 2021.

Christmas Card SiteDon’t forget you can still get Christmas Cards from Les - here - http://www.stjameschurchonlinebazaar.com/Catalogue
