General AssemblyAs you know, I am a commissioner to the General Assembly meeting this month. We were to gather in Baltimore but now we’ll meet remotely. Just a couple of things:

1. Pray for those who are working to make this meeting work effectively as we gather from across the nation on-line rather than in person. My heart goes out to them.

2. Between now and June 27, I will be in several on-line trainings and meetings. We were to meet the week of June 20-27, and to that end while I’ll be here, I won’t be here. I’ll be in front of a screen a whole lot! Thanks for your forbearance. Laurie Palmer

Children’s Art AuctionTo benefit the Food Pantry at Beth-El Farmworkers Ministry: Sunday, June 28, right as we end worship. Stay for some fun that day, and let’s do some good!

You are always invited to join us as your church home. We are glad you are here with us. St. Andrew is a congregation of people who care, who worship, who pray, who sing, who serve, who learn. Join us on our spiritual journey! Ask any Ruling Elder or Laurie Palmer how to join.

We never closed. We have shifted; We have adapted; We have changedWe have struggled; We have had technical difficultiesWe have extended graceWe never closed. We have laughed; We have wept; We have wonderedWe have celebrated; We have grieved; We have yearnedWe never closed. We have lost connections to someWe have found new relationships with othersWe have lived the fullness of the Table of GodWe never closed. We have worshipped in new ways togetherPraying together, Confessing together, Hearing togetherSinging out of sync “together”Being sent into the world to serve togetherWe never closed.Someday we will gather again; Someday we will hug againSomeday we will fully rejoice in this expanding Body of Christ that God is revealing before usBut that day has not yet come. So, for now, we will continue being the gathered churchCalled together, Praying together, Exploring the Word togetherSeeking justice together, Serving togetherWe are the church. We are the Body of Christ. We never closed.
