Minutes of last meeting: These were approved and signed off.

Matters Arising:The Chairman had had no response from his enquiry regarding our entry in the Awards Scheme, so will re-submit the entry next year. The Councillor Initiative Fund claim with West Lindsey is currently being pro-cessed.The Chairman had recently been in Contact with an ex colleague from RAF Col-lege Cranwell, who had recently moved to Normanby. She wished Phil to pass on the fact that she holds our Health Centre in very high regard.Sallie reported on the issue of Doctors not always being heard when calling out patients’ names. Both screens are now turned down, a fact that doesn’t please all patients, and the doctors have been asked to call more loudly. Sallie would look into the fact that names used to be displayed on the Jayex screen to see if that can be re-instated.All knitted goods have been placed in plastic bags. All rooms in the Practice have now been supplied with two new chairs, one armed and one armless, in a variety of colours and the invoice for £2000 has been submitted to the Treasurer.

adding or changing. Sallie thought it would be a good idea to enlist the support of a couple of young people on the Committee though if under 18, they would have to be co-opted. This generally was thought to be a good idea and Sallie would make some approaches to WF School.A new Healthcare assistant has been appointed.Since May, there have been no District Nurses or Health Visitors in residence at the H/C. This is due to a change in policy by Lincoln Community Health Services and has resulted in a severely reduced service to patients with virtually no com-munication possible between the Nurses and the Practice. Sallie and Dr. Barber had attended a meeting with LCHS and voiced their great concern over the dete-rioration in nursing provision for patients. The Chairman also offered to write on their behalf to express our concern at the situation.Gill Baker will be taking early retirement and leaving on August 22nd. The post of Nurse Practitioner is currently being advertised. The PDA had recently funded a bariatric couch and Sallie asked if the Committee would consider funding a second one as this is so much in use. It was agreed to consider this request.Toni, the receptionist on maternity leave, has given birth to a baby boy.

Fund RaisingEvents CommitteeRoy asked if the Committee would be available to meet to finalise the details of the Autumn Fayre on July 21st at 7pm in the H/C. It was agreed to check our di-aries and let him know.

Janet has collected the fish tank from Perry Aquatics and a 42” HD TV donated by Chestnut Homes Ltd. Laura at Chestnut Homes was very interested in what we do and asked whether she could publicise the raffle and Autumn Fayre on their Face book page and Sallie agreed that would be acceptable. She would also like some photographs of the event, and in particular the raffle prizes, to use in their newsletter. Janet is putting together a luxury hamper as an additional top prize and has emailed to Committee members a list from which they may donate. The raffle tickets have now arrived and are being distributed. This year an on-line supplier has produced these as they are slightly cheaper than the local firm and the samples were better quality.Janet had received an email from Danny Mellor to say his health is improving but his left shoulder is still causing concern. He is waiting for physio in the hope that will help. He has informed the DVLA of the accident and is waiting for their ver-dict on whether he is able to drive. He passed on his best wishes to everyone and thanks for the cactus arrangement and card sent from the PDA Committee.Janet asked if we could all save wine bottles and jam jars both 1lb and smaller. The Co-op has agreed to our selling Raffle Tickets on one Saturday only this year as many other organisations also wish to hold similar events. Janet asked Com-mittee members willing to sell raffle tickets in the store to suggest dates when they would be available.Transport Committee

Village HallThe Management Meeting was held on 6th June and the Chairman confirmed that £16,000 in grants had now been received for improvements to the kitchen and they were awaiting the result of two other applications. The fittings have now been installed in the main hall to hold the marquee style drapes. These will be available for hire by those hiring the hall for functions. Pho-tographs of an event held on 18th June showing the drapes can be seen on the VH Facebook page.

Any Other Business1.  Janet reported that late requests for Transport were being received more and

more frequently. Although Janet always does her best to make sure all re-quests are met, others covering in Janet’s absence feel there should be a min-imum time allowed between the request and the appointment. After some discussion, the Chairman felt there was no practical way of regulating that and so should be left the co-ordinator’s discretion.

2. Janet asked if the names of deceased patients could be deleted from the database. Sallie thought that would be difficult and also added that in the case quoted, that knowledge would not have helped as it was the wife of the de-ceased patient that the coordinator had spoken to. It was decided that a better

way forward would be for the coordinator to refer to ‘persons accompanying’ rather than ‘husband/wife’.

Date of next meetingThe next meeting will be held at the Health Centre on Thursday September 1st 2016 at 7.30pm.There being no other business, the meeting closed at 8.30pm
