Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” (Galatians 6:9-10, NLT) REFLECTION QUESTIONS Have you got any “interesting people” in your extended family? How would your extended family describe you? Galatians chapter 6 paints three pictures of how a healthy family of faith are to be caring for each other 1. GENTLY RESTORE THOSE GOING ASTRAY. “Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” Vs1 What is the Spirit if God saying to you in this verse? Is there a Christian brother/sister – well known to you – who is in need of restoration? How can you seek to restore gently? Are you willing to listen to others who seek to restore you? 2. CARRY EACH OTHER’S BURDENS. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.” Vs2 What opportunities has God given you to carry one another’s burdens? With whom can you share your burdens? 3. CARRY THEIR OWN LOAD “Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.” Vs4-5 How can this free you from comparing yourself with others? How can this help in establishing healthy boundaries? THE RESULT?
