Ten Critical Choices(For the New Year)

This past Sunday I preached a message entitled “God’s Plans For Us” taken from Jeremiah 29:11-13. In that sermon I talked about the fact that God had specific plans for us as His sons and daughters for this year. However, God’s Plans For Us can be adversely affected depending on the choices we make this year. That’s why I wanted to begin the year’s Bible study lesson on choices – Ten Critical Choices that will directly impact our lives for this new year.

I. We Must Make Right ChoicesA. God gives all of us a choice. Deuteronomy 30:19

Ackowledge the choice. Consider the choice. Make the choice.

II. Critical Choice #1A. Choose God’s Love John 3:16

God’s love includes His plan. God’s love includes His provision. God’s love includes His promise.

III. God’s love is a protecting love, but not always a preventing love. God may allow pain to humble us. Deuteronomy 8:1-3 God may allow pain to restore us. Psalm 51:1-3, 10 God may allow pain to refine us. Job 23:8-10

Brothers and sisters, in spite of what people may think or believe about you – you must choose to believe that God loves you! That one critical choice can truly impact your life this year.
