Volunteers Needed for Real Money, Real World

Real Money, Real World is fun and distinctive because it includes an interactive spending simulation that provides the opportunity to make lifestyle and budget choices similar to those made by 27-year-old adults. As a program of Ohio State University Extension, the most preferred and successful RMRW programs are partnerships of the county OSU Extension Office, the schools, and the business community.

Part I: Five Preparatory classroom lessonsPart II: A hands-on budget management and decision-making spending simulation.

If you are interested in helping with the Real Money, Real World program and would like to be a facilitator please contact the Extension Office.

4-H Advisory Council Members NeededWe are looking for volunteers to join the Seneca County 4-H Advisory Council. Council meets the third Thursday of every month. Members help guide and support the decisions of the 4-H program, assist with planning, evaluating, and recommending 4-H educational experiences and programs for youth members, and help promote and expand the 4-H program. 2017 Important Camp Information and Camp Counselor InformationIn 2017, Seneca County 4-H Camp Scholarships will be handled differently. There will be no full scholarships given out. We are highly encouraging you to start thinking of ways you can save up for camp now. See if your club would be willing to do a fundraiser to help with the cost or start saving a little each month to take away the large expense all at once. Scholarships will still be available but at most will be half of the cost. Once scholarship guidelines have been set families will be notified of this change.

Camp counselor applications are due to the Extension Office by December 12, 2016. Interviews for counselors will take place on December 28 and 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. First year counselors will be considered counselors in training and will be required to help with Cloverbud Camp. The 2017 Junior Camp and Cloverbud Camp dates have not yet been determined, but as soon as we have the dates we will let you know.
