Dia de Los Muertos Due: October 6th Diorama Altar -100 points

In celebration of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) a Mexican celebration, many build altars in honor of their loved ones who have passed away. A day of the dead altar is a space used to place all the things that remind you of those who have passed. Your altar should consist of pictures, candles, flowers, treats, and food. They are considered offerings to the dead, who come to visit us on this day.

First, choose whom you want to remember. You can choose from a family member, friend, pet or someone from history that you admire.

To make your Day of the Dead Diorama Altar you will need:Shoe box: Adult size shoePicture of passed loved ones Items your loved ones enjoyed to decorate your altar Candles(optional)Tissue for flowers or fake flowers Glue or tape

To build your altar:

1. Wrap the inside and outside of your box with paper, or you can use paint. 2. Glue or tape pictures of your loved one in the box. 3. Decorate your box with drawings, treats, food, items that remind you of your loved ones. 4. Last you can add some candles or paper flowers.5. Include a one page typed paper explaining the visuals that you used in your altar in regard to your loved one.
