We require that sales be reported at the end of each market by each farm. Sales must be accurately reported. We will use the combined data captured from all farms when completing grant applications and reports for other funding sources. It is important to report the economic impact of the DLA Farm Fresh Market. Individual grower sales results will be held in the strictest confidence by the market manager. Forms to report sales results will be provided at the beginning on the 2018 market season.

Licensing/Labeling Requirements:

If you sell a product on which sales tax is collected, you are required to obtain a vendor’s license.

Certified Organic farms must provide the appropriate certification and must present a copy to the market manager.

Vendors selling processed foods that do not fall under the Ohio Cottage-Food Law, meat, eggs, and dairy must meet all licensing requirements and present a copy to the market manager. All items must be properly labeled according to the licensing requirements.

Weights & Measures/Appropriate Methods of Sale:

You must follow the guidelines for the sale of produce provided by the Madison County Auditor. If you use a scale, it must bear the seal of inspection. To schedule an inspection, contact Bill Strauss, (614)329-1269.

Violation of any of the above Farmers’ Market Rules and Regulations may cause forfeiture of the right to continue as a participant. The market manager will give one verbal notice of the violation to the farm. A second violation will result in a written warning to the farm. If a third violation occurs, the farm will be expelled from the market.

By signing here, you indicate that you agree to participate in the DLA Farm Fresh Market in accordance with the Farmers’ Market Rules and Regulations described herein.
