1. History of the Institution : The institution Brahaspati Mahila MahaVidyalaya, Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur was established in the year 1993. It was recognized by NCTE
in 2006 for 100 seats, affiliating by CSJM University, Kanpur. It has well defined motive of serving the society by making their humble contribution to education especially through teacher’s education. By nature, It is Co.Ed. College.
2. Vision Statement:Our Vision has to serve cause of women. Empowering the students of the near by slum area. The Institution has providing a rigorous quality academic study with innovative effective teaching strategies and developing the ability and passion to work wisely and creatively to become the best teachers, in an environment with intellectual stimulus and moral prosperity.
3. Mission & Objectives: Our mission is to develop a dynamic education system which fosters an equitable and productive environment for our student-teachers in wake of contemporary global environmental challenges. To enhance skills, values and knowledge in the teacher students through integral education of body mind and soul. The aim of Institution is the skill development of the students so the Institution has provided personality development program.

Signification Achievements, if any
In this Institution several faculty members have won awards in the field of Education. All the students and teachers enrolling themselves in Gandhi Study Centre at free of cost.
Contributions in the field of Education Faculty Member of this Institution are encouraged to attend research seminars and undertake research. With the help of UGC remedial coaching SC/ST, OBC and Minority students get knowledge and got good placement in other sector.There is Women Development Cell reflective learning and self directed learning are provided by the Institution. The academic performance is hundred percent and of these more than 90% first class.

YOUTH FESTIVEL :- Students of our Institution got II Prize in Dance Competition ,These students are… NISHA VARSHNEY, POONAM YADAV, AMRITA SINGH. The Debate Competitions organized by the C.S.J.M. University , student of our Institution FARHAT PARVEEN got II Prize. 19 SEPTEMBER2012 NIIT organized a Quiz competition in which AJEET SINGH & GARIMA SHUKLA were Winners.
