Eastside Blossoms/Texas Blossoms, Eagle Scout Project and Bluebirds Eastside Blossoms partnered with Gabriel Socha, a local Scout who wanted his Eagle Scout Project to help our community, Eastside Blossoms and the bluebirds in our area. Gabriel approached Eastside Blossoms about making his community project impactful for our area. Our office on Randol Mill has had HUGE success with these houses made specifically for bluebirds. It has been a joy watching them all spring and multiply! About Gabriel…Gabriel is 17 years old and will be a Senior at Nolan Catholic High School. “Scouting has been a part of my life for a very long time, and I’m excited to see what else I’ll be able to do thanks to it.” The goal of an Eagle Scout Project is to create something helpful to the community and to demonstrate leadership ability in the Scout. The Scout has to plan, organize, and raise funds for the project. So, a fundraising event was created thanks to Gabriel’s project for Eastside Blossoms. On 6/27/20 seventeen volunteers helped make 120 bluebird houses based on the specs of our current houses. Each volunteer received a free bluebird house for volunteering their efforts for Gabriel. We have 100+ houses that are available and the profit of selling these houses will benefit Eastside Blossoms tree planting efforts. We will include instructions for those that want to do it yourself as well as Bluebird info and fun facts you may not know. This information will also let you know care and maintenance suggested for the houses. Pricing is as follows: House only $15 House with pole and clamp (you DIY install) $30 House with pole and clamp and WE install for you! $50 – so you don’t have to do a thing!
