Cassie – Official Girl ft Lil Wayne.The start of the video, shows a reverse video, of Cassie, in an office, with a man. It uses a variety of long and medium shots, which allow the audience to identify where the shot is set.

When the music starts, the first few shots, show Cassie, walking down a corridor in a modern, rich looking building. First shows a close up of her boots, then a mid shot, looking up so we can see her top and bag, and then a close up of her face. These shots, show us that she is stylish, and has a very rich, high priced fashion sense, which let's us know her importance. The start of the video, uses a few cross fades, which give the video a stylish glam feel, which is linked in with the image of Cassie.

Then we see a long shot, of Cassie, with a cloud background. She is wearing very sexy, revealing clothes, which shows her edgy side, and her more seductive side.

Then comes a mid shot, of her dancing with back up dancers. This is used to keep the audience entertained, and also shows her talent and ability. Young girls may find her an icon, due to her dancing and may inspire to be like her, however, the clothes she is wearing, are not suitable for a young age, so the age range may start from 16 to early 20's. The lighting is dark, which gives a edgy dangerous feel to the video.

Here is a close up of Cassie. This is used for us to see her stylish accessories. The background, gives a much more stylish, celebrity like feel, which shows her personality more.

After, comes a long shot, of Cassie in a bedroom. This is used, so we are able to see where the shot is set, and also for us to see that the room is stylish and

glam. Because the room is very modern, this gives us more detail about Cassie, and shows her being very rich, which a lot of teenage girls, will inspire to be like. The lighting is very light, which gives the shot a more elegant feel.

Then right after, comes a mid shot of her dancing again, straight after the shot before. I believe this is used, for us to identify her, as a women with a lot of personality, and also shows different sides to her.

A mid shot is used, for us too see Cassie on a mobile phone, with a picture of a man, which tells us abit more of the storie line.Also product placement is used, because the phone is being shown in this shot.

After, comes a long shot of the room, however the lighting is dark due to it being night time. The clothes she was wearing when the room was bright and lighter, was white, however as it came to night, she swapped to black clothes, which link into the atmosphere of the lighting.

After comes a long shot, zoomed slowly into a close up, instead of the shots all being the same.

After comes few unique shots, where we see Cassie in a long shot, however the camera is aimed sideways, and then the camera rotates to the other side, using crossfades, and then rotates to a close up of her. This is used, to give a unique feel to the video.

A mid shot is used for us to see a car, which is very posh and luxurious. This

again, like previous shots, gives the video a more glam and rich feel, and also makes viewers jealous because of the luxury. The lighting is dark, which is used to make us focus on the car.

A close up is used for us to see Cassie driving the car, which boosts her appearance up more.

An over the shoulder shot is shown, where we can see Cassie in a very seductive outfit, which shows another side to her personality.

We then see a close up shot, of Lil Wayne, in sunglasses and a very urban hoodie. We can tell by this close up, that he is wearing these clothes, and that tells us abit about him.

A variety of fast moving shots are used, which tells us what he is wearing and how it relates to the music.

Then, we see a long shot of Cassie posing in a very revealing clothes which will catch the male eye. This shot is used for us to see how she has a confident and sexy side to her.

Product placement is used again, where we see the image of Cassie on the phone instead of the camera itself. This is a very clever shot with the blurry background.

We then see a mid shot of both singers, which shows competition and shows the relationship between the singers.

As the video begins to end, the shots go back to the beginning shot of Cassie handing a folder to the man, however it was reversed which shows us that the story in the middle was what happened before, then it goes back to the story at the start.

The folder contains pictures we saw Cassie taking earlier. This is shown in a close up so we are able to clearly see what was in the folder and that also ends the story.

The final shot is a close up of Cassie, which fades to black.

In concussion, this video contains a lot of themes and codes and conventions.The lighting gives certain shots a rich elegant theme, however other shots is made to look dark, and urban.Also, a lot of key themes appear for example aspects of rich living, give off a luxury style, however urban dancing is used to show different personality’s.

The location set's a urban however luxury tone.
