Name: ______________________________ Magazine Publication Pre-AP English Spring Assessment Congratulations! You just landed a job as a magazine editor at a prestigious magazine! Over the next two weeks, you and one partner will design, draft, and publish an eight page magazine for a specific target audience and interest topic. Interest topics could include but are not limited to outdoors, sports, fashion, teenager interests, health, travel, entertainment, animals, specific hobbies, beauty, food, etc. You and your partner will both design an appropriate and relevant cover and one advertisement of a service or product that would appeal to your target audience. Each partner will independently write one long article and one short article that relate to your target audience and magazine topic. For extra credit , you and your partner may write a letter from the editor (a letter written from both of you to the readers to explain your inspiration for the magazine) and/or another advertisement. You will digitally create your magazine using a free account on JooMag.com. There will be article checkpoints throughout the next two weeks. The complete magazine is due on Thursday, May 11 th . There will be a publication party on your final exam time that you will be able to share your magazine and read all other magazines from our class!

Congratulations! You just landed a job as a magazine editor at a prestigious magazine!
