Magazine contents page – Conventions
Masthead- says the word ‘features’ to tell the reader what
stories are inside the magazine. Also the colour white blends in
well with the dark grey background.
Logo- is to tell the reader what company produced this magazine;
in this case ‘Vibe ‘produced this magazine.
Page numbers- to show the reader where each story is
situated.
Coverlines- to show the reader the stories that are inside the
magazine. Also the white text blends in well with dark grey
background, so that it can be easily read.
Picture credits- to show who took the cover image, and the
company behind the image.
Cover image- cover image is of a well-known artist called Usher,
this makes the people recognise the artist so people will pick up
the magazine, and also the image goes well with grey
background.
Background- is of a dark grey background to the right of the
page, but then fades to a light grey to the left of the page. Goes
well with the white text and black page numbers.
