High Green Gymnastics Academy Newsletter June 2016 2016 has shown huge potential for High Green Gymnastics Academy, we currently have over 550 participants attending classes weekly ranging from 5 to 67 years old! The class restructure enabled us as a club to be as efficient with space and time as we possibly could, but all of our classes are almost full. We are coming up to our clubs annual competition in July 2016 where we have many of our Girls Development Squad gymnasts competing in a four piece competition, this is a huge achievement in itself and we wish these gymnasts all the luck at the competition. We have also seen our Men’s Artistic Squad making huge progress through 2016. Antony, our Men’s Artistic coach is pushing the boys immensely and we will be looking to restructure the Boys Development Squad to increase our boys squad. If you have any questions about our Boys Development Squad we would be happy to answer these. During June we held our annual interclass competitions which were all a success giving all of our gymnasts a chance to compete in a set routine competition. This has led to 81 gymnasts qualifying for the final on the 3 rd July 2016. This is a fantastic opportunity where the gymnasts will compete to a huge audience and will have the chance to compete on a sprung floor!!! We currently have 6 coaches who are in the process of completing coaching courses. Abbie, Daisy and Fran are in the process of doing their Level 2 Women’s Artistic, Antony is doing his Level 2 Men’s Artistic and Sarah and Sophie are doing their Level 1 General Gymnastics. We also have a new Coach Christina who is with us on a Monday and Tuesday and we are also looking for more coaching staff to help us achieve our goals. Payment As you are all aware we charge on a 4 weekly basis, the reason for this is threefold; Firstly we have weekly and monthly outgoings that we need to ensure we have revenue in the club to pay for and as you will see our coaching staff is increasing and as they qualify they are then entitled to receive the appropriate rate of pay for their qualification. Secondly, it shows commitment from gymnasts that they will attend on a weekly basis and not as and when they feel like it. Thirdly, as we want to purchase more equipment it means we can buy this sooner as we have revenue on a 4 weekly basis to spend, therefore enhancing your child’s gymnastics experience.

High Green Gymnastics AcademyNewsletter June 2016

2016 has shown huge potential for High Green Gymnastics Academy, we currently have over 550 participants attending classes weekly ranging from 5 to 67 years old!

Payment As you are all aware we charge on a 4 weekly basis, the reason for this is threefold;

Firstly we have weekly and monthly outgoings that we need to ensure we have revenue in the club to pay for and as you will see our coaching staff is increasing and as they qualify they are then entitled to receive the appropriate rate of pay for their qualification.

You may or may not be aware that our class fees have remained the same from when we started the club in September 2013 but due to increasing costs for staff and facilities as of 29th August 2016 class fees will increase to £5.00 for a 1 ¼ hour session and £6.00 for 1 ½ session . This is an increase in our hourly rate by just 40p.

You can pay by cash, cheque, card or bank transfer and to ensure that we receive payment on time we are introducing a late payment fee of £5.00 if your payment is 2 weeks overdue.

Payment Terms Throughout an academic year we will refund up to TWO weeks holidays that you may take outside the periods that the club is closed at Christmas, New Year and August. If your child starts at the club in January we will only refund up to ONE weeks’ holiday between January to July.

In line with all other clubs we will not refund fees for missed sessions unless a doctor’s note is produced and should a child miss three sessions with no contact made to us then the child will lose their place.

British Gymnastics MembershipAs we are a registered club with British Gymnastics we have to ensure that all children who attend the club are members of British Gymnastics this is paid annually and will be renewed for 2016 – 2017 in September. British Gymnastics membership is compulsory, for all gymnasts at all levels at High Green Gymnastics Academy if this is not paid your child will not be able to attend classes after the second week in September.

Bronze Insurance is £20 for 2016/2017Silver Insurance is £45 for 2016/2017

These payments need to be made by 1st October 2016.

Photographic Policy This is a difficult and sensitive area, but unfortunately the world we live in dictates that we have to get permission to photograph or video children. I have noticed that parents do sometimes take photos or videos during training sessions and although you may be innocently taking pictures of your own children other parents may object to their children being photographed or videoed.

Therefore can I please ask that all parents cease to do this, please could you let us know if you object to any photos or videos being taken. Smarties FundraiserWe would like to proudly announce that our Smarties Fundraiser raised £1492.00 which is being put towards more equipment for gymnasts at the club. We hope to purchase a set of rings for our Men’s Squad.

We would like to thank our gymnasts and parents for your support throughout 2016And look forward to a successful 2016/2017
