10x10 Grid
Sample 10x10 Project Grids
Percent Conversion Project!Due Friday, March 27th, 2020
A 10x10 grid represents 100%. Percent means of 100/out of 100/part of 100.
For this project you are going to use a 10x10 grid (attached). You are going to color in the 10x10 grid using multiple colored crayons/colored pencils (use as little marker as possible). Each grid should have several colors used and should have a design or theme to it. Different ideas and examples are also attached.
Once you have colored in your 10x10 grid you will count how many squares there are of each color. Make sure you pay careful attention to the exact number of squares! When you know the exact number of squares for each project you will then use your knowledge of converting between percent, decimal and fraction to find the decimal, fraction and percent value of each color. I have attached a table you can use for this, or you may create your own. A sample table has also been attached for you.
When the 10x10 grid is completely colored in and the conversion table is filled in you are to cut both out. Then, you must attach the grid and the table to a piece of construction paper. You may choose any color of construction paper.
You are required to have:
1. At least 4-5 colors in your 10x10 grid.2. The percent, decimal and fraction conversions.3. The 10x10 grid AND the conversion table completed.4. The 10x10 Grid and table MUST be backed with construction paper
(any color of your choosing).
Write your name on the back of the construction paper when you have completed your project before handing it in.
