We are searching for alumni leaders to volunteer their expertise and help strengthen the global YES community by leading a session on previous or current projects that align with the SDGs. The YES SDG Virtual Summit will be broadcast on our Facebook page to audiences around the world. Hosted by the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, the SDG Virtual Summit is a three-day virtual event that promotes and features projects on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Each virtual session will be led by a YES alumnus with experience in designing and implementing projects that promote a specific SDG. Each panelist will present on an SDG and impart advice on project design/implementation. The goal of the virtual summit is to share resources, best practices, and ideas to inspire other YES alumni to develop innovative ways to solve societal problems using the SDGs. In addition to a detailed discussion on a particular SDG, each session will also cover a specific component of designing, implementing, or evaluating a project (budgeting, grant writing, M&E, involving stakeholders, etc.). We are searching for alumni leaders to volunteer their expertise and help strengthen the global YES community by leading a session on previous or current projects that align with the SDGs. YES is searching for YES alumni to lead a session on an SDG. Alumni who are selected as session presenters will be required to attend webinar training sessions leading up to the summit to learn strategies and tactics for leading the virtual sessions.

To be eligible to lead a session you must be:1. Experienced with designing and implementing a project that promotes the SDGs 2. Available for two online leader training sessions (1 hour/session)3. Available April 17 - 19 with reliable access to internet

SDG Virtual Summit Timeline:

● Wednesday February 27: Applications to lead sessions opens● Wednesday March 14: Applications to lead sessions closes● Monday March 19: Session presenters are selected and notified● Early-April: Two online leader trainings (1 hour/session)● April 17 - 19: SDG Virtual Summit

5. This virtual summit will not only teach about the SDGs, but also detail how to develop a successful program. What, if any, component of the project lifespan would you like to focus on? Project components include, but are not limited to: grant writing, budgeting, program design, sustainability, volunteer management, building partnerships, monitoring and evaluation, report writing, social media/promotion, etc.
