We are pleased to welcome two new Nurses, Angela and Laura to our nursing team. Both Nurses have extensive previous experience and will be an asset to our team. We would also like to welcome Michelle and Sarah, who have joined the administration team. Michelle has several years’ experience in practice management and Sarah in retail pharmacy. We welcome their skills, experience and support. Emmy, who is part of our reception team, and has Spring/Summer 2019 We have a volunteer patient group, currently consisting of approx 5 patients, and they are representative to the practice. The PPG have regular meetings. The PPG helps to influence the way local health care is organised and delivered. Health coaching is helping people gain the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to become active participants in their care so that they We offer cervical screening here at the surgery. Welcome to the Spring/Summer edition of our Quintin, 85 Battle Road and Punnetts Town Medical Centre newsletter.

We are pleased to welcome two new Nurses, Angela and Laura to our nursing team. Both Nurses have extensive previous experience and will be an asset to our team.

Emmy, who is part of our reception team, and has a passion for nursing, has just completed her training in phlebotomy. She now has her own clinic. Well done Emmy!

When patients ring the surgery the GPs have requested that all telephonists/receptionists ask patients for a brief indication of their problem. This is to enable staff to determine who the most appropriate clinician is. For example, you may be offered an appointment with our muskeloskeletal practitioner. This enables us to save GP appointments for more complex matters. However, we do appreciate that some patients may feel uncomfortable sharing their ‘problem’ and are, therefore, under no obligation to do so. You will never be asked at the front reception desk.

You can now access your own Summary Medical Records. This will enable you to:

Book appointments without telephoning.

Order repeat prescriptions

Travelling

Please complete your travel form as soon as you book your holiday these are available to download from our website or ask reception for one.

To ensure we can offer you the best protection, we require at least 8 weeks notice, prior to your travel.
