Tuesday, March 17, 2020Explanation of Activity and Assignment: In school, students have been previously writing stories about various fictional topics in our Work on Writing reading rotation. For this assignment, go on Seesaw and find the activity How to Catch a Leprechaun. Click on the link and listen to the story. Then, draw a trap and include labels of what you would use. On a second slide, write about how you would use this trap to catch a leprechaun. You can also record your thinking, instead of writing it down. When you are finished, save it to your Journal.Links/Activity:Here is the activity as you will see it on Seesaw. Open to your Seesaw and tap “Add Response.” Follow the directions to complete the activity.

Turn-in Your Assignment: When you are finished, tap the green checkmark and save to your Seesaw Journal.

 Tasks:

1. Log onto XtraMath.org and click “log on as student.” Type in your teacher’s email and your student access PIN. Then complete your round!

**NOTE: If a student does not know his/her PIN, please email your teacher and we will be able to provide you with that information.

2. Complete the next page in your PSSA Math Review Packet and have a parent check your work at home!

 Turn in your assignment:There is no need to turn in anything for your XtraMath round as teachers will already be able to access that information.

Please take a picture of your completed PSSA Math Review Page and post it to your journal on Seesaw or bring your packet back to school when we return.

page 22 of your student workbook. If you don't have any dice, you can make up 4-digit numbers. When you play, draw the base 10 blocks for each number, and write the number in expanded form and word form. You can use the Gr 3 Day 1 Roll and Show Game Sheet to play.

5. Log into Ed and open the Fact Fluency for Chapter 1. Complete activity 1C: Using Doubles and Doubles Plus One.

Subject: Social Studies: Estimated Time: 20-25 minutesOverview: Reinforce our Geography skills learned throughout our latest Social Studies unit. Explanation of Activity and Assignment: Throughout the last several weeks, your child has been learning many different geography skills to apply their knowledge to district standards of social studies learning. In this activity, your child will complete the “In the City” page (in the Grab Bag), where he or she will use the grid on the city map to find the places listed at the bottom of the page. Next, students will use the next page to plan a map of their bedroom using the grid attached. Tasks: Students will complete the “In the City” worksheet in their Distance Learning Envelopes. Next, students will design a map of their bedroom on the following page using the grid! Links/ Activities: You will be using the In the City activity packet and will record your responses on these two pages. Turn-in Your Assignment: Take a picture of your work and post-it to your Seesaw Journal.
