E.A.R. TimeThere is something so fun, something just so great,It happens in Mrs. Thompson’s class each day and we cannot wait!
Each day around the same time we all hear Mrs. Thompson say,“Gather around class E.A.R. time is about to begin today!”
The students all gather around the BIG, BIG chair so very tall,Then one by one the students begin to share their book tales to all!

We read it all….Newspapers, Magazines, Articles, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Folk Tales, Classic tales, Chapter Books, Picture Books, No Word Books (create our own story!!).
We all listen as one by one the students take their turn as they happily climb up in the chair to speak,We hear book reviews, learn about main characters, and exciting events from the books of the week,
We learn about books that we want to read on our own, to hear as the story unfolds while we read page by page,So, next week we can tell our friends what we thought as we climb in the chair to use as our stage!
USE ANYTIME TO READ ANYTHING , ANYWHERE !!A STORY IS ALWAYS WAITING FOR YOU TO SHARE!!

Try using a family vacation picture and have them retell their favorite part of their vacation!
We invite our parents in to share their love of reading!
Grandparents love to tell their tales of past times that are so exciting for all to hear!
There are so many wonderful and exciting ways that E.A.R. time can happen each day!
Why not start an E.A.R. time at your home today? Before dinner, during dinner, after dinner, anytime can be E.A.R. time; all you need is ears to hear!!
