We are also delighted to have members out competing very successfully at Triathlon. Congratulations to Emily Bone and Jake Harris who qualified for the Winter Triathlon Qualifier. Coaching Step 1 Training

Despite the blustery and freezing temperatures everyone enjoyed themselves. Congratulations to Molly, Amy, Isabella, Alanis, Elizabeth, Lucy, Lizzy, Ruby and Lucy from Ryburn pony club all of whom completed their Coaching Step 1 training day. They will continue to build up their portfolio so look out for the guys at Junior, Mini camps and events. Special mention to our ‘Guinea pigs’ who kindly volunteered for the afternoon and coped amazingly well in the arctic conditions along with their parents. Thank you to Sue Chadwick for hosting the event and to Helen Lister and Catherine Cundall our instructors for the day.

Mounted Games

Hi folks, well done to all who competed over the Pennies this weekend this was as usual a strong competition. The senior A final was fast and furious and it was great to see the progress our A’s have made since Belton and Sinnington. The B team continue to improve and it was good to give the juniors some real competition. Congratulations to all members who have competed at the start of the season and we look forward to seeing you in the weeks ahead.

Musical Ride 2019 – “Schools out for Summer” After a great rally at Woodnook on 2nd March we have our 2019 team made up of some of last year’s team and some new riders taking part. Rebecca Mosley, Holly Jones, Nicole Meigh, Phoebe Sykes, Olivia Morton, Layla Grieve, Jessica Blake, Noah Sykes and Poppy Eichorn Swift. Age ranging from 5 to 14years so this is a great opportunity for all. We have space for one further competent Junior / Senior, so if you are interested please contact Lisa Meigh. We have our theme and practices are scheduled to start on Tuesday Evenings from 7th May, with our trainer Sue Chadwick. We will be performing our musical ride twice at both Emley (3rd August) and Penistone (14th Septem-ber) shows which will be very exciting for the team. This gives us a trial run before champs on the 20th August. It would be great to see some friendly faces at the shows supporting the team. So, if you can make it that would be fantastic! Thanks Lisa

Vaccination update!

Please note individual venues may have specific rules and procedures, please check before you go!

Please note that following the latest advice from the BEF concerning equine flu many venues used by The Pony Club require horses and ponies to have had a booster in the last six months. With Dengie and Mounted Games trials happening please make sure that you are up to date and if in doubt please consult your local vet. The Pony Club vaccination rule states that no pony may attend a competition if it has had a booster in the previous 6 days so timing is key. We will be checking passports at these events.

I look forward to seeing you all at lots of events through the spring and summer!

Happy Easter
