3rd Sermon: REPENT:

For The Kingdom Of God IS AT Hand 9-24-17

Their is a time to preach about the finished work of God's Grace through his Son Jesus Christ, his death burial and Resurection. Salvation through repentance and also, their is a time to preach about Gods response to Sin, Rebellion, Judgement and Eternal Damnation.

Salvation and Deliverance from sins bondages all go through the way of Repentance.

Repentance is an action of your faith in motion, desiring the things God desires and hating with a passion the things God hates.

It is an action of opening our hearts to the will and power of God to change us through the person of The Holy Spirit who has been invited, welcomed and yielded unto, having his dwelling in the temple of your body and flowing through our conscious will power.

Aligning our will with His will, our desires with his desires unto a perfect unified body of obedience full of his Glory and Grace which is Faith, Hope and Love, Peace and Power being filled with overflowing Joy Unspeakable!

We began our series with these thoughts;

Matthew 22:8-14 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

Matthew 22:[9] Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Matthew 22:[10] So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Matthew 22:[11] And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

Matthew 22:[12] And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Matthew 22:[13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and

cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 22:[14] For MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN. …(both good and bad are called) The garments are what distinguished the good from the bad.

Who we put on, the flesh carnal evil and naughty man of sin and rebellion or the Spirit of God, the king of kings, the Lord of lords Jesus Christ putting on Jesus through repentance and humble heart, yielding to his word IS our way to prove and show our love for him and that we are truly born-again.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. …

This week our Topic thought is: The Baptism with water unto Repentance of God.

Jeremiah 24:1-10 The Lord shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the Lord, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

Jeremiah 24:[2] One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

Jeremiah 24:[3] Then said the Lord unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

Jeremiah 24:[4] Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Jeremiah 24:[5] Thus saith the Lord , the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.

Jeremiah 24:[6] For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.

Jeremiah 24:[7] And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord : and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Jeremiah 24:[8] And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the Lord , So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:

Jeremiah 24:[9] And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.

Jeremiah 24:[10] And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers. …

Matthew 3:10-12 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 3:[11] I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to

2 Peter 2:4-10 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2 Peter 2:[5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person , a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

2 Peter 2:[9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Luke 14:11-35 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luke 14:[12] Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

Luke 14:[13] But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

Luke 14:[17] And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

Luke 14:[18] And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought

Luke 14:[19] And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

Luke 14:[20] And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

Luke 14:[21] So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

Luke 14:[22] And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

Luke 14:[23] And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Luke 14:[24] For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

Luke 14:[25] And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

Luke 14:[26] If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14:[27] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14:[28] For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it ?

Luke 14:[29] Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it , all that behold it begin to mock him,

Luke 14:[30] Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Luke 14:[31] Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to

meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

Luke 14:[32] Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

Luke 14:[33] So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14:[34] Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

Luke 14:[35] It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. …
