Penketh Methodist Church and The Olive Tree Community Centre is located on Chapel Road, Penketh on the site of the old Methodist Chapel building and opposite The Red Lion pub. It is easily accessible by public transport and also benefits from on-site parking facilities. The premises are fully accessible to people with disabilities and there is lift access to all floors. Opened in March 2011, the building is the fruition of almost 10 years of activity by the congregation of Penketh Methodist Church who now share the premises. They had the vision of providing a building that would become a hub of community activity for the people of West Warrington and beyond.The Olive Tree Community Centre is staffed by volunteers who would be thrilled to welcome you to any of the activities held at the centre. Rooms are also available for hire for commercial, private and community activities.Our community coffee shop The Olive Branch is open between 9am and 12.30 noon on Mondays and Fridays. It is also open between 9am and 1pm on Wednesday and Saturday* when lunch is served. You will find a warm welcome and efficient service awaiting you, with freshly prepared food at competitive prices. The ChapelSituated on the ground floor of the building the multipurpose ‘Chapel’ can accommodate up to 200 people.

The room has full audio-visual facilities and a hearing loop. It is ideal for large gatherings such as conferences, concerts and exhibitions.

The Olive Tree Community Centre offers first class facilities for your meetings, clubs or training with rooms that can accommodate up to 200 people. We can also provide a wide range of equipment for hire for your meeting including multimedia data projectors, screens and flip charts.Our commitment is to ensure our charges represent excellent value for money whilst also maintaining the sustainability of the community centre.  We offer very reasonable rates. About our facilities...

The Chestnut RoomAlso situated on the ground floor, ‘Chestnut’ measures 9.9m by 10.7m and can accommodate up to 100 people for a formal meeting. The room has a wood block floor and is suitable for large gatherings such as conferences, concerts and drama or dance events. The room also has full audio-visual facilities and a hearing loop.

The Cedar Room Situated on the first floor the room measures 6.1m by 3.9m and can accommodate up to 24 people ‘theatre style’ and 12 people in a ’U-shape’ set-up. It is fully equipped with audio-visual equipment to facilitate computer-based meetings and is ideal for hosting training seminars.

The Sycamore RoomSituated on the first floor ‘Sycamore’ measures 4.5m by 9.3m and can accommodate up to 40 people making it ideal for children’s parties, training and meetings. The room is also equipped with a sink and overlooks The Chapel. Sound can also be transmitted from The Chapel into this room.

The Willow RoomAlso on the first floor ‘Willow’ measures 5.5m x 5.5m and can accommodate 10 people. The room is ideal for small meetings.

The Poplar RoomAlso situated on the first floor and measuring 6.5m by 5.5m ‘Poplar’ can accommodate up to 30 people.

Willow and Poplar can be combined to accommodate up to 40 people for larger meetings, displays and exhibitions.
