In 2015 the value of counterfeited

goods exceeded

Statistics from U.S Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) show that in 2014 the value if fake goods seizure by the agencies was over a billion $$$. It is estimated

that over 500% more entered the country undetected.

Some 17% of that are electronics and electronic parts

• Returns fraud and soaring warranty costs

• Erosion of brand reputation

• Health and safety risks

Page 12: WEBINAR_Hologram labeling

Challenges of stopping counterfeits

• Not all shipments are or can be inspected

• Custom officers are not able to distinguish fake from

original

• Electronic counterfeit parts and products are cheaper

• No Track and Trace cooperation between brand

owner and customs in place

technologies

Keep your products uniquely yours—from manufacturing

and across the supply chain

Add advanced hologram technologies as part of an

enterprise-wide labeling solution

Cooperate with customs via the WCO IPM program
