Snow and Ice Control (SNIC): Interactive Online GPS Enabled Map 

The Snow and Ice Control was an online application developed for The City of Calgary. The purpose of this site was to display Snow clearing assets when they were deployed on the road.  Every asset was GPS enabled and their exact location was displayed in almost real time on the online map.  As the roads were cleared their status was indicated by changing of colour in real time.  Architect and Team Lead : Ron Singh

CalgaryInfrastructure.ca: Interactive Online Map   

The CalgaryInfrastructure.ca website is an Interactive Map application that displays over 500 capital infrastructure initiatives and capital project and budget details. The challenge was to develop the mapping layer using City of Calgary’s Internal Mapping software.    Architect and Team Lead : Ron Singh Project Manager and Client Liaison: Terry Wong

 The City of Calgary Real Estate Web site was an exceptional challenge as the site was set to compete with the private sector and had to be at par if not exceed the expectations set by the private sector. Working within the bounds of municipal challenges we met and exceeded most expectations.  Architect and Team Lead : Ron Singh

Calgary Recreation Guide and Online Booking 

The Calgary Recreation Guide provides a user with an easy to use and intuitive interface to browse through thousands of program offerings  online and then proceed to book their registrations online. Features include the ability to bookmark specific projects, share them with friends and family and collaborate for group bookings.  Architect and Team Lead : Ron Singh

Calgary Mayor’s Website 

The Mayor's Site was an exceptional challenge. It had to be extremely optimized and most importantly as frugal as it could be. The final solution was a very creative mashup of cloud platforms including Flickr, YouTube, Blogger, Twitter. These platforms were used to host all content reducing hosting costs to minimal. The single webpage aggregated the content seamlessly to provide a website like experience.  Architect and Team Lead : Ron Singh

WWQuote.com 

The Best of  Breed and First in Market, WWQuote was a leading edge Stock information and analysis site at its inception. This site consolidates real time data feed from stock exchanges around the world. It required 48 dedicated servers to manage and parse the data and provide dashboard reports in real time. This application was heavily dependant on mission critical hardware, network and application layer. Completely e­Commerce enabled.  Chief Architect  : Dean Schuitman UX and Web App Developer: Ron Singh

Stampede RoundUp 

The largest outdoor event during the Calgary Stampede. This site was developed as a marketing and promotional digital presence. Complete with a fully enabled online ticket purchase system which is mobile friendly  and a loyalty rewards program.  Design and Development  : Ron Singh

Inflight Innovations 

 Inflight Innovations is an online flight attendant training school. Behind the “green door” lies a sophisticated online training school which allows students to pay for online instruction. They go through 13 levels of online instruction, and move from one level to another after passing a timed exam. Randomly generated questions, real time scores and email notifications were key features.  

This site was developed 14 years ago and still exists in its original form and must be evaluated in that context.  Design : Andrew Bunka Programmer: Ron Singh
