Aruba Civil (Legal) Ceremony*

- All Civil weddings take place at Aruba’s Town Hall in Oranjestad. Beach civil weddings not allowed.

- Local documentation handling on your behalf.

- Registration fee, civil fees and civil administration fees.

- Translation of wedding certificate.

- Authentication of translation (Legalization – Apostille).

- Coordination and handling fees for the civil part of your wedding.

- Meet and Greet prior to the wedding date.

- On the civil wedding day, transportation for couple and two (2) witnesses Hotel – Town Hall – Hotel.

- To start the process with Hotel’s legal counselor, a non - refundable deposit is required corresponding to the 20% of the

civil fee.

- Legal counselor will provide you the requirements for the wedding process.

- Dates and times are subject to availability and ONLY confirmed by Aruba’s Town Hall once all the documentation is

submitted and approved. Legal Weddings do not take place on weekends or public holidays.

OCCIDENTAL GRAND ARUBA

• In order to confirm a wedding with Occidental Grand Aruba Resort, a non-refundable deposit of $350 is

required. The non-refundable deposit will be used towards wedding extras or the wedding package chosen.

• 50% of package is due four (4) months prior to wedding date. Final payment is due forty-five (45) days prior to

wedding date.

• A last minute wedding is considered when booking thirty (30) days or within thirty (30) days of the wedding

date. A $450 surcharge will apply if the couple wishes to book a package they are getting complimentary based on

the room booked or number of rooms booked with group. Must be paid in full at time of booking.

• Civil ceremonies have a fee. Please discuss with your wedding planner for more details.

• Private events have a fee. Please discuss with your wedding planner for more details.

• Couples may bring favors, place cards, table numbers, cake topper, guest book, cake cutter, champagne flutes

and the hotel staff will set for them. This must be notified prior to arrival and a set-up fee of $300 per event and

per amenity for any other items brought with couple such as centerpieces, table cloths, table runners, chair

sashes, …, etc.

• There is a one-time set up fee of $300 that applies for hosting your event on the beach. Please discuss with

your wedding planner for more details.

• Any guest(s) attending the wedding but not staying onsite must purchase a wedding pass. The hotel will

only allow the purchase of wedding passes up to a maximum of 20% of the total number of guests attending the

wedding. Guests with wedding day or night passes are allowed on property one hour prior to ceremony and until

wedding activities have ended. Guests are able to purchase a wedding day passes with their wedding planner prior

to arrival and pick up at the front desk. A list with names of the off property guests need to be provided to the

planner prior to the wedding day.

• Weddings that have more than the package inclusion of guests will incur additional costs. Please see your wedding

planner for more details.

• If couple cancels the wedding ceremony more than three (3) months before the wedding date, all payments

other than the non-refundable deposit will be refunded.

• If couple cancels the wedding ceremony within three (3) months prior to wedding date, there will be no

refunds of any kind.

• For inclement weather on day of events, the weather forecast will be checked 24 hours prior to the event

and any final decision for evening events shall be made 24 hours prior to the wedding event. For morning events

the call must be made by 4:00 PM the day prior. If the couple makes their decision after those times indicated by

the hotel, a setup fee will be charged of $15 per person, per event as a result of the late notice of change of

location. We will keep the final confirmed venue, even if on the wedding day, the adverse weather conditions will

not result as predicted. If adverse weather conditions, should the client disagree with changing the venue, the

service will continue under clients own risk. Services not rendered due to adverse weather conditions will not be

reimbursed.

• Government taxes are subject to possible modification without prior notice due to changes in government

regulations.

• A semi-private group dinner reservation in any of our specialty restaurant is not part of the all-inclusive

package. A fee may apply for parties above 10 guests with a maximum of 35 guests. Please consult with your

wedding planner for pricing and restrictions.

• Floral selections are subject to availability depending on time of season.

• Couple may rent items from hotel but they are the hotels property and may not be taken home.

• Welcome bags may be delivered to guest rooms for $5/room per hotel staff. Couple may not deliver

themselves for privacy reasons. Must be notified prior to arrival. Welcome bags are delivered after 4:00 PM,

check in time.

• Certain items cause environmental damage to the ecosystem and local wildlife; items such as balloons,

artificial petals, wish bottles, confetti and wish lanterns are restricted. Any candles brought must be battery

operated. The use of fire is prohibited in indoor locations.
