One of the uniquely spectacular things about the Blue Mountain area is the beautiful scenery created by the natural landscape of the Niagara Escarpment and the nearby shores of Georgian Bay. Blue Mountain offers wedding ceremony and reception facilities accommodating up to 450 guests. From mountain top tents to intimate banquet rooms, each location can be customized to provide the perfect setting for your own celebration.

Outdoor VenuesMountain Top Ceremony SiteNothing is more beautiful than a mountain top ceremony overlooking Georgian Bay and the surrounding area. Treat your guests to a scenic gondola ride to the ceremony site as they enjoy the breathtaking vistas and witness your perfect day. MiniMuM: 50 guests MaxiMuM: 250 guests

What You nEEd to KnoW…

• The Mountain Top Ceremony Site is exclusive to guests who have booked their wedding reception with Blue Mountain Resort.

• A Venue Rental Fee of $750.00 plus HST will be applied for any onsite wedding ceremony, including indoor and outdoor venues.

• The rental fee includes 2 hours of use of the space, as well as a standard ceremony set up including chairs, signing table, and tables for a DJ/musicians when required.

• The rental fee does not include an officiant, additional décor or entertainment.

• If you have booked an outdoor ceremony location, an indoor location will be held at no additional charge, in the case of inclement weather.

• Ceremony back-up location will be confirmed 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

• Weather calls must be made a minimum of 2 hours prior to the ceremony start time.

• Outdoor venues are considered public space, and while we will do our best to ensure privacy, there may be some spectators during your ceremony.

• Complimentary shuttling is available to and from onsite ceremony locations.

• Gondola transportation to the top of the Mountain is available for an additional fee.

Blue Mountain Private BeachThere’s no need for a destination wedding just to get some sand between your toes. Blue Mountain’s private beach on the shores of Georgian Bay is the ideal location for couples who want the sound of the water and a cool breeze as a backdrop to your ceremony. Village at Blue Mountain Conference CentreThis visually stunning conference centre features breathtaking views of the mountain and of Georgian Bay. This state-of-the-art facility is located moments away from all accommodation types, all dining and shopping areas of the Village at Blue Mountain, the mountain slopes and the fairways of Monterra Golf. The inside of the facility aims to bring the beauty of the outdoors in, featuring high ceilings with enormous beams, rustic open trussing and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Audio Visual• Blue Mountain Resort will provide a

complimentary podium and handheld microphone as part of the wedding package.

• Any additional audio visual equipment or technical assistance required for the function room can be provided at an additional charge. Additional equipment must be ordered at least two weeks prior to the day of the wedding.

• There are no additional charges for power accessed through our function rooms.

Charges will apply for any additional power required over and above existing electrical outlets (i.e. bands, DJs, or additional lighting requirements). Additional power must be ordered at least two weeks prior to the day of the wedding.

• Any external audio visual or electronic equipment must meet the requirements of ESA (Electrical Safety Authority) standards.

• Blue Mountain Resort will not assume responsibility for any personal equipment brought into the function space.

soCanAccording to SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors, and Music Publishers of Canada) Tariff No. 8, fees will apply to all “receptions, conventions, assemblies and fashion shows” which include any form of live or recorded music. SOCAN fees are based on room capacity and can range from $59.17 + HST to $174.79 + HST. This charge will be added to the final invoice and is remitted to SOCAN by Blue Mountain on behalf of the wedding couple.

What You nEEd to KnoW…

• Minimum numbers are based on the number of adult wedding packages purchased for the event. Should numbers drop below the minimum, the wedding couple will be responsible to pay the difference.

• Reception space is included with your Wedding Package, and encompasses the following: tables, banquet chairs, linen (specified colours only), glassware, flatware, china, three votive candles per table, dance floor (size based on the number of guests), raised head table, podium and microphone, 2 complimentary easels, set up of the venue (excluding additional décor), serving and bar staff. Additional function space required will result in an additional charge to the final invoice.

• Reception space does not include additional décor or entertainment. Set up fees may apply if staff is required to assemble or stage additional décor items. Additional décor items and centerpieces must be approved by Blue Mountain prior to setting up.

• Your reception space will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on the day of the wedding, unless otherwise specified. Access to the room prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of the wedding will be considered on a case by case basis, and cannot be guaranteed until 2 weeks prior to the wedding date. Additional charges may apply.

• Reception rooms are assigned based on the anticipated number of guests and specific setup requirements. If there are fluctuations in the contracted guest numbers by more than 20%, the Resort reserves the right to re-assign the reception room accordingly.

• Blue Mountain will guarantee the primary reception room location 3 months prior to the wedding date. A secondary alternative location will be reserved at the time of booking, should the need arise to change the reception location.

Tent Packages for Outdoor WeddingsTent packages are available for weddings of 50 people or more. Whether it is a Mountain Top gala or Private Beach affair, you’ll wow any guest with your outdoor wedding. Tent packages can be accommodated for an additional fee. Please ask your Event Manager for further details.

Our Executive Chef and his team take food preparation and presentation seriously, and will create a dining experience your guests will remember. Our professional staff provide superior service to you and your guests and will take care of every detail to ensure your day goes exactly how you envisioned it. Dining InformationWhat You nEEd to KnoW…

• Blue Mountain Resorts Ltd will abide by all Federal, Provincial and local laws with issues pertaining to food and beverage purchases.

• No outside food or beverage is to be brought into the function room at any time by any guest.

• Wedding cakes may be brought in for your reception – no other external food and beverage will be permitted.

• Menus may be updated or changed between the time of booking, and the date of the wedding.

• All food and beverage charges are subject to a 15% service gratuity. HST of 13% will be charged on all food, beverage, rental items and service charges.

Allergy & Special Dietary NeedsBlue Mountain would like to assist those delegates with special dietary needs and food allergies. We request a list of all dietary requirements, along with an associated severity level, prior to your group’s arrival. This will ensure that our kitchen and banquet teams are fully prepared to service your guests on the day of your wedding.

Menu TastingsAs a part of the wedding package, we offer a complimentary menu tasting for the Bride & Groom. Menu tastings generally take place approximately 5-6 months prior to the wedding date, and are completed at the Pottery Casual Dining Restaurant – located at the Blue Mountain Inn.

Custom MenusWe understand that food is a personal journey, and sets the tone for any special event. Our Executive Chef is available to design personalized menus for your event. Additional charges may apply.

Accommodation Options

What You nEEd to KnoW…

• All lodging guests attending weddings at Blue Mountain Resort will receive a 15% discount on accommodation.

• All rooms are subject to availability. Wedding couples are not required to book a block of rooms on their wedding day; however it is highly recommended that they do reserve some rooms for their guests to ensure availability.

• Accommodation blocks require a guarantee of rooms 30 days prior to arrival. Rooms that are not picked up within 30 days are subject to attrition fees.

• Two night minimums will apply over the Christmas holidays, winter weekends (January to March) and summer weekends (Canada Day to Labour Day). A three night minimum will apply over New Years Eve.

• A booking letter is supplied to the wedding couple at the time of contract to assist their guests in making their overnight reservations.

• Resort check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Early check-in / late check-out requests will be considered however are not guaranteed.

• We are able to tentatively hold function space for your Resort wedding (based on availability) for two weeks from the time of contract creation.

• Within 14 days of your contracted date we require the signed portion of your contract including a 25% deposit based on estimated guest numbers.

• Six months prior to your wedding a 50% deposit is due, and three months prior to your wedding, the final 25% deposit is due.
