Our resort is ideally posit ioned a quick 15-minute drive north of Launceston's CBD. Nestled in the heart of the Tamar Valley's rolling green hills, Tamar Valley Resort provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere where you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
We are committed to making your wedding day the best day of your life. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for all wedding receptions from an int imate elopement to a grand wedding with up to 250 guests.
At the resort, we make every effort to personalise your wedding to your own tastes and style. We know how important it is for your day to represent your love for each other in its own unique way. For this reason please keep in mind that the following packages are able to be tailored to meet your needs.

Wedding gift valued at $300- Wedding night accommodation in Bridal Spa Suite including full hot and cold buffet breakfast.
- Use of the resort 's gymnasium, sauna, heated swimming pool, and spa for the durat ion of your stay with us.
Anniversary gift valued at $420- 1 night accommodation in a Hotel Spa Suite or Waterfront King

- Evening dinner at the Alpenrose Bistro to the price of $100 .
- Full buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices.

These gifts for all couples who book a reception at the Tamar Valley Resort with over 40 guests for a sit down dinner or 60 guests cocktail style. Gifts are not transferable to another person or for cash and is subject to availability.

As part of your special day the following items are included in the package price per person (40 guests minimum).
Package inclusions for wedding with under 40 guests are available upon enquiry.
- Quality linen table clothes, linen napkins or coloured
serviettes of your choice, all cut lery, crockery and glassware.
- Bridal table, gift table and cake table skirt ing.
- Guest menus for each place sett ing.
- Free parking for all guests.
- Help and advice from our wedding specialists.
- Room upgrades for the parents of the bride and groom
subject to availability.
Wedding Ceremony Venues
Lakeside ChapelBuilt by master craftsmen this non-denominational chapel seats up to 70 guests and provides a beautiful background for any ceremony.
Set on the bank of Lake Louise and completed with historic turn of the century pews, the Lakeside Chapel has an enchanted feel to it .
The hire fee for the Lakeside Chapel is $225 which allows for 3 hours at this venue.
Lakeside GazeboAlso set on the banks of Lake Louise, this stunning Gazebo gives the perfect backdrop for any wedding ceremony.
A truly romantic sett ing with spectacular lake views, the Gazebo has uncapped guest attendance.
The hire fee for the Lakeside Gazebo is $175 which allows for 3 hours at this venue.
Wedding Ceremony VenuesLakeside & Island Bridge
Located at the front of the resort 's Grand Hotel Complex the Fountain and Footbridge makes the perfect entrance for any bride.
Next to the fountain is a gorgeous grassed area which is the perfect spot for your int imate wedding ceremony!
The hire fee for the Fountain and Footbridge is $100 .

Here at the Tamar Valley Resort we have three completely different picturesque lakes await ing your wedding ceremony.
Imagine a ceremony with a rarely found romantic lakeside back drop.
The hire fee for the Lakeside & Island Bridge is $100 .
Anytime of year the resorts beautifully manicured gardens are the ideal spot for your romantic garden wedding.
There are unlimited areas for you to choose your perfect spot for your wedding ceremony.
The hire fee for the Resort Gardens is $100 .
Resort Gardens
The Geneva
- The Geneva is located in the Grand Hotel Complex.
- The capacity for the Geneva is 120 on round tables, 140 on long tables and 160 cocktail style.
-However, in 2019 the capacity for the Geneva will be expanded to 250 on round tables, 270 on long tables and 290 cocktail style.
- Minimum guest numbers for the Geneva is 50 .
- Our experienced chefs and service professionals are able to cater for everything from individual table service to grand buffets.
- The Geneva offers a fully stocked private bar, natural light ing, PA system with audio connection, portable dance floor and air condit ioning.
- This room is suitable for a DJ, Jukebox, Soloist or Duo. The Geneva cannot cater for a band with drums.
- Wedding receptions run for a durat ion of 6 hours, all receptions must conclude by 12.00 midnight.
- There is a $300 fee to use the Geneva.

The Enzian - The Enzian is located next to a beautiful lake with a large private balcony overlooking the resort?s prist ine Golf Course.
- The maximum capacity for the Enzian is 80 on round tables 90 on long banquet tables and 120 for standing cocktail.
- Minimum guest numbers for the Enzian is 40 .
- Our experienced chefs and service professionals are able to cater for everything from individual table service to grand buffets.
- The Enzian offers a fully stocked private bar, PA System, audio connections, permanent dance floor, natural light ing and air condit ioning.
- This room is suitable for a DJ, Jukebox, Soloist, Duet or band. There are no noise restrict ions in the Enzian.
- Wedding receptions run for a durat ion of 6 hours, all receptions must conclude by 12.00 midnight.
- There is a $300 fee to use the Enzian.
The Edelweiss
- The Edelweiss is located on the banks of Lake Louise, adjacent to our Lakeside Wedding Chapel.
- The seating capacity for the Edelweiss is - 60 guests on round tables, 65 guests on long tables or 80 guests for cocktail style.
- Our experienced chefs and service professionals are able to cater for everything from individual table service to grand buffets.
- This room is suitable for a DJ, Jukebox, Soloist or Duo. The Edelweiss cannot cater for a band.
- The Edelweiss has a beautiful out-door deck perfect for opt ional canapes.
- The Edelweiss offers a fully stocked private bar, natural light ing, air condit ioning and a stunning lake view.
- Wedding receptions run for a durat ion of 6 hours with a finish t ime of 12.00 midnight.
- Minimum guest numbers for the Edelweiss is 40 .
- There is a $300 fee to use the Edelweiss.
