The Wyoming Depart- ment of Insurance (DOI) offers these tips to help people with their insurance claims. • • • • • • • • Dealing with storm damage and insurance: Start the claim process - Contact your insur- ance company or agent and begin the claim process. Contact the DOI if you need contact information. Document / mitigate the damage - If the damage to your home is extensive, take photos and document what was lost. If the damage is repairable, mitigate further damage by placing tarps on roofs or boarding up windows. Ask questions - Work with your insurance com- pany on how the claim process will work. In these times of social distancing, companies are not always sending adjusters, and instead are using technologies like video or drone to assess damage. Once that is done, an adjuster will provide documentation to your insurance company to determine your claims settle- ment. Be sure to ask for an itemized explanation of the claim settlement offer. If there is a disagreement, question. If this disagreement results in a claim denial, make sure you obtain a written letter explaining the under which the claim is being denied. The following is a brief description of the situation and the proposed action and a brief statement of how the action meets the criteria for a categorical exclusion. A public meeting will be held on Thursday July 30th, 2020, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Lusk Town Hall Coun- cil Chambers, 201 E. Third Street. The Town of Lusk is proceeding with Funding ap- plications for plans to replace all water mains, water services, Fire hydrants, water valves, Sewer mains, Manholes and services throughout the town. The systems are old and in need of replacement. Water mains are undersized and do not provide adequate re protection. Once the new Utilities are installed, then the entire street will be reconstructed consisting of new curb and gutter, Street surfacing, sidewalks and ADA ramps. Provisions to install ber conduit for ease of a Carrier provided service and communi- ty connectivity will be installed. Minor storm sewer improvements consisting of inlet replacement and manholes replacement is included. The town propos- es to complete this work over a multi-phased, 8-10 year project approach. Phase 1, estimated at $6.8 million, is scheduled to being in Spring of 2021. The project funding will be a combination of SRF fund- ing, RUS funding, 6th penny sales tax (pending), and system user fees.
