Students will be asked to draw conclusion, identify setting and theme along with plot. There will be a Reading Test and Vocabulary Test on this Friday. Writing- Students will continue to learn how to organize and write an informative piece. Math- We will be reviewing fractions on Monday and Tuesday. Students will have a test on Wednesday. There will be vocabulary on the test. Be sure your child studies the review sheets in order to perform well on the test on Wednesday. Spelling- This week in Spelling we will be focusing on two concepts. 1.) There, their, they’re, theirs, there’s 2.) proofreading techniques Spelling tests are made up of a cloze story word test, s skill test, proofreading application, and sentence dictation. Shurley Method-We will begin using our knowledge to identify individual parts of speech within a sentence. Starting this week students will have a participation grade. Your child will have a Fractions Math Test on Wednesday. They will also have a Grammar Test on Friday. Study guides for both will be sent home prior to the tests.
