Group Art Project #2: Environmental Issue Research
Issue – description of causes and affects, statistics etc. ( group)
Species- individual research- how your species is affected (individually)
Solutions—contact info on organizations and suggest ways everyone can help (group)
Drawing
Each member creates a drawing of their chosen species
Preliminary sketch and final drawing
Presentation and display
The group will present the information and drawings to the class on a project board which will be displayed in the Kirsch Center until the final.
Individual summary write up
Each member will write a page on the project- why you chose it , what you learned and the impact that it had on you personally.
project is worth:+ 30 points (drawing + issue and species information +individual write up ) +15 points of participation grade (contributing to your group’s work +presentation ) + 5 points of folder check (research + presentation notes) 50 points total

Species- INDIVIDUAL• Information on how your species is affected by the chosen issue• Find a photograph to draw from of your chosen species that is affected by
issue- be sure it is clear and concise.• Show me your image BEFORE you begin to draw.
• You need to list your resources and display on the project board, be sure it is current information !!!

Part 3: Presentation• Each group will receive a 36” x 48” display board
which you will ...Combine: Issue write up:
● summarize the issue ie causes, affects and solutions.● Be sure your information is organized, concise and labeled
Drawings- of each group member’s species and the information showing how this species is affected.You will present your issue to the class in an informal group discussion and we will be displaying them in the Kirsch Center food court for the public to view.
To be handed in along with sketchbooks
● Research notes used to write project board information
● Preliminary sketches of species● Board notes from other group’s presentations● Personal write up on the project, what you
