The Cash for Cans is being a great success with the cans generating money that is being fed back into the
school. It is also great to see the seniors present on assembly each week. Kayla was last week’s winner for
using the Cans Cage.
Our VIVO award system is back up and running this year, with students receiving their on line points for dis-
playing our STAR values of Safety, Teamwork, Achievement and Respect. Each week on assembly we
acknowledge the top students who were allocated the most number of points. Congratulations to Kendra- this
week’s High Flyer.

We also acknowledge our teachers who use their allocated points each week. This weeks teacher who was drawn from the hat was Ms Corr.
We finally got around to awarding the 2018 Giant Pawn Chess Tournament winner- Congratulations to Beau on winning this great competition.
Our support unit is selling eggs as a fundraiser for Easter. Congratulations to Bowen and Patrick for doing a
great job advertising this event on assembly.
It’s great when we can invite members of the community into the school to broaden the experiences the stu-
dents are exposed to. Last week, Hawkesbury community outreach service visited and were teaching our sup-
port unit students drumming.

The talent of our students continues to impress me. Lucy and Tara from Year 11 Visual Arts have been cho-sen to attend the National Art School, gifted and talented program. As you can see by their works in progress, they are sure to thrive in this environment.
Susan Templeman MP gave up hours of her time last week to work with our future leadership group, with a focus on public speaking. This is a part of the Senior Leadership Excellence Program (SLEP). Susan has al-ways worked to promote community recognition of Windsor High School students. Thank you Susan, your ef-
forts are much appreciated.

The students and staff are working hard to ensure effective learning is occurring. In the last two weeks of term many assignments are being completed and books are being marked. It is important all students attend every day to maximise their potential and met all learning outcomes. Regards Jennifer Hawken
