Dear Parents/Carers, Welcome to Week 4 - I cant believe how fast this term is moving along! This week, we connue to implement our Phase Onereturning of students to school. Students are expected to return to school at least one day per week and at CTPS we have scheduled our return in the following way: Monday Hunter House, Tuesday Karuah House, Wednesday Paterson House, Thursday Williams House and Friday will be for those who need to send their children. However, our school is open to anyone on any day and no child will be turned away. I am pleased to say that we now have all classroom teachers at school 5 days a week, which means that your child we be able to benefit from face-to-face teaching with their regular teacher on their designated days throughout the week. Our school is safe for your children to return, with enhanced and regular day cleaning taking place throughout the school, as well as increased handwashing and hand sanising, physical/social distancing and smaller class sizes all contribung to a safe environment. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all our teachers at CTPS who have gone above and beyond in these challenging mes. Teachers were asked to completely change their curriculum planning, teaching structures and lesson delivery at a moments noce and are sll managing a remote and face-to-face teaching model. To our CTPS teachers—thank you for your professionalism and dedicaon! It was very excing to be able to share our first virtual assemblywith the CTPS families last week and acknowledge the diligence that our students are connuing to show at school and with their home learning. I want to acknowledge our student leaders who did a marvellous job at presenng that assembly—I think some of them could have a future in media! If you havent already watched it, I encourage you to check it out on our Facebook page. Lastly, student reports at CTPS are scheduled to be sent home before the end of Term 2. Reporng will focus on the educaon that has taken place so far this year, which includes individual students progress and achievement of the learning provided both at school and at home with guidance to move knowledge forward. A simple wrien report will be provided that reflects the context of learning that has occurred during these interrupted mes. I hope you all have a great week and I look forward to seeing everyone throughout the week. Thanks to our parents and carers for your ongoing support, you are all doing an amazing job. Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to Week 4 - I can’t believe how fast this term is moving along!

This week, we continue to implement our ‘Phase One’ returning of students to school. Students are expected to

return to school at least one day per week and at CTPS we have scheduled our return in the following way:

Monday Hunter House, Tuesday Karuah House, Wednesday Paterson House, Thursday Williams House and

Friday will be for those who need to send their children. However, our school is open to anyone on any day and no child will be

turned away. I am pleased to say that we now have all classroom teachers at school 5 days a week, which means that your child

we be able to benefit from face-to-face teaching with their regular teacher on their designated days throughout the week.

Our school is safe for your children to return, with enhanced and regular day cleaning taking place throughout the school, as well

as increased handwashing and hand sanitising, physical/social distancing and smaller class sizes all contributing to a safe

environment.

I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all our teachers at CTPS who have gone above and

beyond in these challenging times. Teachers were asked to completely change their curriculum planning, teaching structures

and lesson delivery at a moment’s notice and are still managing a remote and face-to-face

teaching model. To our CTPS teachers—thank you for your professionalism and dedication!

It was very exciting to be able to share our first ‘virtual assembly’ with the CTPS families last week and acknowledge the diligence

that our students are continuing to show at school and with their home learning. I want to acknowledge our student leaders

who did a marvellous job at presenting that assembly—I think some of them could have a future in media! If you haven’t already

watched it, I encourage you to check it out on our Facebook page.

Lastly, student reports at CTPS are scheduled to be sent home before the end of Term 2. Reporting will focus on the education

that has taken place so far this year, which includes individual student’s progress and achievement of the learning provided

both at school and at home with guidance to move knowledge forward.

A simple written report will be provided that reflects the context of learning

that has occurred during these interrupted times.

I hope you all have a great week and I look forward to seeing everyone

throughout the week. Thanks to our parents and carers for your ongoing

support, you are all doing an amazing job.

Important Reminders

A few important reminders:

• Play equipment, bubblers, canteen and clothing shop remain

closed until further notice.

• No hats will be borrowed out to students, please ensure they

have their own CTPS hat for play time,

• Students returning need to bring their learning packs with them

and any students who have borrowed technology, will need to

bring those items too.

• Please ensure you do not come onto school grounds when drop-

ping off and picking up your child, ‘kiss and go’ is the safest prac-

tice for all stakeholders. Queen St gate will be staffed in the

morning with a teacher to welcome and assist students where

necessary. Both gates are staffed in the afternoons as per usual.
