No peanut food items to be brought to school. Please check labels on food items before
sending them to school.

websites. I hope this removes any confusion that people were experiencing.
Parent/Teacher Information Evening - Tonight
We will be holding a Parent/Teacher Information evening combined with a welcome to our
new parents tonight, Wednesday, 16th February.
6.30 pm - Sausage sizzle
7.00 pm - General Information to both classes
7.30 pm - Separate Class Information
8.00 pm - Close
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Zone Swimming Carnival
The following students have been entered in the Zone Swimming Carnival, to he held on
Friday, 25th February:- Hope Taylor, Harriet Scales, Lucy Cantrill, Jacinta Cooper,
Leisl Cooper, Lachlan Ware, Eden Walters and Amy Cantrill. Those students involved will receive a permission note shortly.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics will begin this Friday, 18th February and go until the end of term. Students
are to wear their sports uniform. Please send your money and note if you have not already
done so. Thank you.

Zone Tennis Trials
Zone tennis trials will be held on Friday, 4th March. Any interested students are to see me.
Principal’s Conference
Tomorrow I will be attending a Principal’s Conference in Armidale. Mrs Mutton will be
taking my class in my absence.
Softball Practise
Softball practise this afternoon at 4.30 pm. Our first round of the Softball Knock Out will be
held on Wednesday, 16th March against Werris Creek.
School Working Bee
It was decided at the last P & C meeting to hold a School Working Bee on Sunday, 13th
March from 9.00 am - 12.00 noon.
Jobs for the morning will include: - mowing and edging
- trimming and planting
- burring and weeding
- fencing
- sweeping
- general cleaning up of grounds
- preparing vegetable gardens in tanks.
Things you will need to bring if possible:- Mower, trimmer, chainsaw, gloves and
general gardening tools. Morning Tea will be provided.

attending.

Library News
Over the last few weeks, several students have given a book review during Friday’s
assemblies. It’s great to now have some other students asking to borrow these books for
their own home reading. This week, Clancy Walters will be reviewing a great adventure
story from the series “Sorcerers Apprentice”.

Monday Lunch Orders
If you would like your child to order their lunch on a Monday, please contact Jacky at the
Duri Store on 67680244. Sandwiches and drinks are available during the summer months.
Book Club
If you wish to place an order, please send your order and money to school by tomorrow,
Thursday, 17th February. Thank you.
Kinder and Captains Photos
The Northern Daily Leader visited the school today to photograph our 2011 School Leaders
and Kindergarten class. The captains photos will appear in the paper on 16th March and
Kinders photo will be on 17th March.
