It was great to see all of our new Year 7 learners and their parents/carers on Wednesday evening – we had a fantastic turn out and some lovely feedback. Our Darton Voice learners who stayed to show parents/carers around were highly commended and were a credit to the school. Do check out their new blog! http://dartoncollege.co.uk/ category/students/student- voice/ I also got the opportunity to visit Mapplewell Primary School this week which was fantastic! It was great to see the wonderful learning environments and focused learning in all classrooms. On Thursday I spent the day in Cleethorpes delivering two workshops at their Teaching and Learning Festival, it was great to catch up and listen to some fantastic speakers and friends. The Year 11 GCSE exams have almost come to a close with the two final exams taking place next week. Year 10 learners have now commenced their mock examinations this week and these will continue until 26th June. To round off what has been a busy week I have Alton Towers to look forward tomorrow with Mrs Woodhouse and 5 colleagues along with our departing Year 11 learners! Have a lovely weekend! Nurture

Amazing art work from Sophie Devonport (10YN) - exemplary work!

All Year 9 learners were praised by the Nursing Team for their maturity and

attitude shown during their vaccinations this week .

Great work this week from Darton Voice learners which resulted in a

questionnaire to gather the views of all learners on catering at the college.

Several learners from our Year 8 and 9 Nurture class visited Moto

Services on the M1 to raise funds for Help for Heros. This good deed

was done in return for the money they received as funding from Moto

Services to enable them to build a sensory garden.
