“HE DISTRIBUTED TO THOSE WHO WERE SEATED AS MUCH AS THEY WANTED.”
Today, in the first reading, the prophet Elisha includedhimself in the multiplication of the 20 loaves by distributing them to 100 people where all of them ate and there was enough left over, as the Lord had said. It shows us the great love and mercy of God for all, without discrimination of persons, as we ask him in the Our Father (give us this day our daily bread), in general, no one who asks is left without receiving; hence the beautiful responsorial psalm “You open your hand, O Lord, and satisfy us”.
In the Second Reading, St. Paul exhorts us to accept God as the only Father and Lord; for He is the best guarantee that among men there will be fraternity and that no one will claim to be “lord” of the others. “Strive to maintain the unity of the spirit with the bond of peace.”
Today’s Gospel says that, we as Christians, live the true multiplication of the loaves which shows us to Jesus as the Messiah. TheEucharististhewaythathelpsusnottoloseourheartonthehard road of life. The Lord’s invitation today is to share the loaves among all, and God will multiply it. This is the call in the spiritual and material works of mercy, show that communion with Christ is also solidarity with our brothers and sisters in need.
Finally, as I told the children and young people on the Feast of the Divine Child, last week, which culminated with the beautiful celebration of Colombia’s Independence Day past July 20th, 2021, “do not forget to organize the time of your life placing there 5 activities to perform each day: Sleep well, eat healthy food, do sports and exercise and always pray and study.” This guidelines go for everyone, because the success of our life plan depends of it, which can be implemented during our free time or vacations, without interruption.

En laprimera lecturadeldía,elprofetaEliseose incluyede manera especial en la multiplicación de los panes al repartir 20 panes de las primicias a 100 personas y todos comieron y sobró, comohabíadichoelSeñor.Estonosdemuestraelgranamorylamisericordia de Dios para con todos, sin acepción de personas, tal como le pedimos en el Padre Nuestro (danos hoy nuestro pan de cadadía),yporlogeneral,ningunoquepida,sequedasinrecibir;deahíelhermososalmoresponsorial“AbresTulamano,Señor,ynos sacias”.
En la Segunda lectura, San Pablo nos exhorta para queaceptemosaDioscomoúnicoPadreySeñor;puesEles lamejorgarantía de que entre los hombres haya fraternidad y ningunopretenda ser “señor:” de los otros. “Esforzaos enmantener launidaddelespírituconelvínculodelapaz”.
EnelEvangeliodehoy,podemosdecirque loscristianosvivimos siempre la verdadera multiplicación de los panes quenosmanifiestaaJesúscomoelMesías.LaEucaristíaeselviaticoquenos ayudaanodesfallecer enel caminodurode la vida. Lainvitación del Señor hoy, es que repartamos el pan entre todosparaqueDioslomultiplique;yestoesloquevemosenlasobrasdemisericordia espirituales ymateriales, parademostrarque lacomunión con Cristo es también solidaridad con el hermano.

For children registered in our religious education school, also have to write the assigned number for the family so that we can identify them as members of your parish and credit your account with the donation they give. FUNERAL MASS WITH ASHES
The Parish of the Blessed Sacrament opens its doors to all those who lost a loved one during the pandemic, and whose cremated bodies have not yet had a funeral, so they can celebrate the funeral with ashes. As a main requirement the Death Certificate is requested.
To make the arrangements please call the parish office at 718-639-3889.
SPIRITUAL PARTICIPATION IN THE EUCHARIST
We want to remind you that the Eucharistic Bread and Wine, the Lamp of the Sanctuary, the Candles and the Flowers used for the celebration of the Mass in our parish, can be offered for a week. Each gift is offered for an intention, which can be for the sick, in thanksgiving, birthday, or in memory of a loved one.
The intention is announced in the weekly bulletin. For more information please call at 718-639-3889, or come to the Parish Office in order to make arrangements.
MISA FUNERAL CON CENIZAS
La Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento abre sus puertas, a todos aquellos que perdieron a un ser querido durante la pandemia, y cuyos cuerpos cremados aún no han tenido funeral, para que puedan celebrar las exequias con las cenizas de su ser querido. Se solicita como principal requisito el Certificado de Defunción.
Para hacer los arreglos correspondientes por favor llamar a la oficina parroquial al 718-639-3889.
PARTICIPACIÓN ESPIRITUAL EN LA EUCARISTÍA
Queremos recordarles que el Pan y Vino Eucarísticos, la Lámpara del Santuario, las Velas y las Flores que se utilizan para la celebración de la Misa en nuestra parroquia, se pueden ofrecer durante una semana. Cada regalo se ofrece con una intención, que puede ser por Salud y Bienestar, en acción de gracias, cumpleaños o en memoria de un ser querido. La intención se anuncia en el boletín semanal. 1. Adults who have not been baptized and wish to do so in the Catholic Faith.
2. Baptized Christians of other denominations who wish to be part of the Catholic Church.
3. Baptized Catholic adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation to complete the Christian Initiation Sacraments.
4. Baptized & Catechized catholic adults who have not yet completed the Sacrament of Confirmation
