President Abd-Rabbo Mansour Hadihas stressed significance of integrating fronts and capabilities and exerting practical and double efforts for defeating Iranian agenda in the region and realizing objectives and aspirations of the Yemeni people and working hard on realizing economic stability.

President held a meeting

with Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh, Prime Minister Ma’eenAbdulmalik and Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemany on Monday on the country’s situations.

“The status quo requires working hard for overcoming challenges facing our people for realizing its aspirations and bringing

victory to its national objectives resulting from the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Related Resolutions,” said president.

He valued support of brothers of countries of the Saudi-led Coalition.

Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik sworn in Thursday before President Abd-Rabb Mansour Hadi for being appointed as Prime Minister.

After the ceremonies President Hadi set out urgent priorities the Prime Minister should focus on, first of all economy and basic services that should be reinstated for the citizens, besides other tasks.

The President stated that the Prime Minister will be enabled along with government’s members to do their job effectively.

President Hadi said” We do realize the challenges and implications created by Houthi militia’s war, however that doesn’t exempt anybody from shouldering his responsibilities and explore every possible means to do his duties successfully”

A decree by the President of the Republic no (180) of 2018 issued Monday herewith its text.

President of the Republic decree no (180) of 2018 about appointing Head of the Government.

President of the Republic:

After having reviewed the constitution of the Republic of Yemen; And the GCC’s Initiative and its executive mechanism signed on 23/11/2011.

And due to negligence coincided the government’s performance over the past period in the fields of economy and services, and the government’s failure to alleviate our peoples’ suffering and managing the problems they are struggling with, failing to meet the peoples’ needs.

The government’s inability to take practical measures to stop the economic deterioration in the country, particularity the national currency slide.

The government’s failure to take necessary measures to cope with the natural disaster of “Luban” cyclone in Al-Maharah province that the population of Al-Maharah seriously affected while the government made no practical efforts.

And for achieving what our peoples are looking forward to see of restore the state, re-establishing security and stability;

And for the country’s top notational interest.

“It is decided”

Article (1) Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher shall be dismissed as Prime Minister and referred to investigation.

Article (2) Dr Ma’een Abdulmalik Sa’eed shall be appointed as Prime Minister

Article (3) Dr Salim Ahmed Sa’eed Al-Khanbashi shall be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister.

Article (4) Members of the government shall keep on doing their jobs in accordance with the decree of appointing them.

Article (5) This decree shall be put into its effects from the date it is issued on and shall be published in the gazette.

Vice President (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh conducted Monday evening telephone calls to keep in touch with the situation in Al-Maharah province in the wake of “Luban” tropical storm.(Lt Gen) Mohssen made phone calls to Al-Maharah Governor Sa’eed Bakreit and senior officials in charge. In his telephone conversations,

he was detailed about relief efforts aimed to help the peoples in need.The Vice President also conducted phone calls with Commander of Joint Forces, His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Saudi and Ambassador of Custodian of the Two Holly Mosques to our country Mohammed Sa’eed Al-Jaber.

During his telephone conversation (Lt Gen) explained the situations in Al-Maharah, highlighted the need for urgent fraternal support to avoid a catastrophic crisis. It is a noteworthy that the Command of Joint Forces has set-up a Crisis Unit to contribute to relieve, rescue and evacuate efforts.

Minister of Electricity and Energy Abdullah al-Akwa’ has acquainted Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh with efforts of restoring and improving power service across Yemen, including liberated provinces.

The two parties also discussed on Monday targeting the electricity’s infrastructure by Houthi militia.

Al-Aqwa’ reviewed his foreign tour’s results

seeking for capabilities for re-operating power generating plants, including his visit to India where he sought help for finalizing Mareb 2 Gas Station and qualifying technicians for the purposes of maintenance.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohammed Ali Ashdadi stated that catastrophic humanitarian situation the Yemeni peoples are experiencing is a product of Houthi militia’s coup d’état against the legitimate authority, taking over the state’s institutions, devoting resources to finance the warfare it has

been launching in most regions of Yemen.

His statement came as he addressed the General Assembly of International Parliamentary Union (IPU) on Tuesday in Geneva where the sessions of the “139” Round are being held.

Ashdadi has confirmed the Iranian regime’s continuous interference in the Yemeni internal affairs. He said “ Iranian regime continued to flagrantly interfere in the Yemeni issues, providing the putschist militia with military, political, financial and media support”.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemany met on Monday with Moroccan Prime Minister SaadeddineOthmani and discussed with him cooperation for conveying Yemeni people’s voice in international forums for deterring foreign agendas.

Al-Yemany thanked the Moroccan Prime Minister for the Kingdom’s firm position supporting the government of Yemen and restoring the state from

Houthi group.

For his part, Othmani confirmed his country’s support to efforts of restoring the legality in Yemen and deterring Iranian influence in the region.

He also confirmed that Morocco supports Yemen in all local and international forums for regaining peace and stability based on the three agreed upon references.

FM meets with Speaker of Moroccan Parliament

Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Yemany met Tuesday with the Speaker of Moroccan Parliament Al-Hakeem Al-Maliki.

Al-Yemany expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the Moroccan Monarch, government and people for their principled stance in support of restoring legality in Yemen and countering the Iranian’s expansionism policy.

“Yemeni government and people are deeply appreciating precious sacrifices the Moroccan people have been extending alongside their Yemenis brothers through the Coalition for supporting legitimate government”, said Al-Yemany.

Al-Yemany reiterated Yemen’s steady stance in supporting the unity and integrated territories of Morocco.

For his part, Al-Maliki stated that Moroccan’s supportive position toward Yemen is based on the Moroccan foreign policy that rejects any foreign interference in others’ internal affairs. He noted that Moroccan policy toward Iranian expansion is clear, well know.

Yemen’s Ambassador to Morocco Ez Addin Al-Asbahi attended the meeting.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled al-Yemany has said the brotherly relations between Morocco and Yemen date back to historical ages and have joint civilization.

In a symposium on Yemeni-Moroccan relations entitled “Yemen and Morocco, one history and joint future” held on Tuesday here, al-Yemany explained that the civilization and language of Amazigh resemble the civilization and language of Himyar and Saba in Yemen.

“Despite of geographical distances, every sign of arts and the beautifulness and amazing architecture, traditions and social rituals, or accents reveal that our half came from Arab Amazigh,” said al-Yemany.

“Similarly sons of Yemeni Saba, Himyar and Awsan civilizations came to Morocco and to every Arab country to confirm unity of the Nation and co-existence and every existing split is just a mere emergency moment would end,” he added.

He praised Morocco for supporting Yemen’s issue and for joining the Arab Coalition for restoring the state in Yemen.

He confirmed that Yemen will continue to be supporter to Morocco and its unity and stability as part of Yemen’s stability.

In the end of the symposium, the former Moroccan Ambassadors to Yemen have been honored and Yemeni Ambassadors to Morocco have been also honored.

The Yemeni political parties and forces have confirmed their support to the state position rejecting the organized campaign targeting Saudi Arabia.

In a release issued on Wednesday, the political forces stressed necessity of facing all distorting and misleading campaigns targeting Saudi project of realizing more transform and reforms and limiting its developing capabilities for serving its people and Arab and Islamic nation.

The General People Congress, the Yemeni Congregation for Reform, the Yemeni Socialist Party, the Nasserite Union System, Justice and Construction Party, Yemeni Rashad Party, al-Nahdha Movement for Peaceful Change, Arab Socialist Ba’th Party, the National Integration Party, the Peace and Development

Party, Popular Forces Union and the Republican Party signed the release.

The political parties expressed full solidarity with brothers in Saudi Arabia and totally rejected of anything harming it.

The parties confirmed the historical role of Saudi Arabia in facing challenges facing our Arab region and dangers threatening Arab and international economy, the international security and terrorist expansion, especially at this critical moment.

The parties also denounced media campaigns against Saudi Arabia and the Arab Coalition for Supporting Yemen’s legality by anybody including Arab and foreign kitchen have become disclosed and bare as having agendas in Yemen.

plots and activities against the Kingdom for imposing economic penalties on it, using political pressures, trying harming and insulting it and reject any monopoly for accomplishing illegal gains.

The political parties and forces confirmed that Saudi Arabia is the strong, honest and struggling castle of the Arab and Islamic Nation in facing dangers threatening the region and its security and stability.

They also confirmed that threateningof imposing sanctions does not target only Saudi Arabia but also the whole region and harms international cooperation for combating terrorism and international peace and security.

Yemen’s Ambassador to Washington, the Permanent Representative of Yemen to the United Nations Ahmad Awaddh bin-Mubarak discussed on Wednesday with the UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande the organization’s projects and programs in humanitarian and development fields in Yemen.Ambassador bin-Mubarak expressed government’s appreciation to the UN efforts exerted in Yemen, stressing significance of coordination and cooperation with the Government of Yemen for making outmost best use of these programs and handing over humanitarian aid to more needy people with guarantees not to fall in Houthi hands for trading with them in black markets.He also highlighted recent efforts aiming at enhancing the work of the international organizations in different provinces away of

centralization, which hindered access of weak people categories to the aid as the case in Taiz.For her part, Grande said her office is working on boosting existence of the UN in all provinces via approving basic humanitarian centers in Taiz, Hodeida and Mukalla and directing all office directors to be in all provinces, thanking the government of Yemen for support and facilitations to the organization.The meeting dealt with efforts and steps taken by the government for economic revival and boosting national currency.The meeting also discussed the medical bridge for transporting critical patient cases as the government is working on preparing inclusive memo of understanding in medical field to be signed as soon as possible.

Minister of Culture Marwan Dammaj blamed Houthi putschist militia for promoting divisive and sectarian oriented culture and working on distorting Yemen’s history and cultural heritage.Addressing 21st Round of Arab Ministers of Culture held in Cairo, Dammaj described Iran-allied Houthi militia as a racist

and terrorist movement.“Iran-backed Houthi militia has proved racist, sectarian and terrorist movement. It has been using terrorist approaches, working on distorting Yemeni cultural heritage, intent on eliminating its diversity and imposing one single form and antagonizing Arab culture and

neighboring Arab mood”, said Dammaj. The Minister added” Houthi militia has been involved in destroying and smuggling the Yemeni antiquities and manuscripts with aim of erasing the country’s cultural legacy dated back over five thousands year”.

Minister of Education Dr Abdullah Lamlas met with Deputy Executive Director of World Food Program (WFP) Ameer Abdullah.

Lamlas’s conversations with Ameer devoted to explore further increasing school feeding project in Yemen to bring number of beneficiary pupils up to 3 million. Lamals even suggested to enlist teachers

in the project.

The WFP official stated that the WFP is committed to keep on supporting food security and school feeding in Yemen.

Yemen’s Ambassador to Rome Asmahan Attoqi was in attendance.

Under-Secretary of Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Dr Mansour Bajash praised Japan’s support for the Yemeni government, highly appreciating Japan’s significant contribution to humanitarian actions in Yemen.

Bajash’s statement came as he met Tuesday with the Charged’ Affairs in the Japanese embassy to our country.

It is noteworthy that Japan contributed to the

UN Humanitarian Comprehensive Plan with $39 million.

Bajash’s conversations with the Japanese diplomat intended to explore more Japanese support for Yemen, mainly scholarships, developmental projects and humanitarian assistance.

The Japanese official stated that his country will continue to offer Yemen a hand of help whether directly or through International organizations.

The first jet carrying on board relief assistances to flood-affected people from King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Activities (KSrelief) arrived Wednesday Mahra.

The State Minister Mohammad Kedda and a number of local authority officials in Mahra received the relief aid. The cargo has been accompanied by a team from KSrelief.

The team will commence its work soon for providing the assistances, which include 20 tons of food baskets to the affected people in disaster areas over the Tropical Strom Luban hit some areas of Mahra Province.

In a press conference, Kedda praised Saudi Arabia’s interventions to help affected people and valued the Yemeni government’s humanitarian

appeal for help.

The center also sent a ground convoy carrying 125 tons of food parcels to flood-affected people.

The center also distributed from its stores 100 tents, eight tons of food parcels, 1500 blankets and 200 mattresses.

Mahra Governor: 250 families evacuated by helicopters to shelters

Governor of Mahra Rajeh ba-Kerait has confirmed that more than 250 trapped families have been transported on Wednesday to shelters, pointing out that some areas still out of their control over cut of telecommunication service, especially in Qashan and Masila.

Ba-Kerait, who sponsored the evacuation process and rescuing hundreds of trapped families in disaster areas in the province over the tropical storm Luban, said a helicopter has been sent from the Third Military Zone and three other jets- from Arab Coalition- have participated in evacuation process and rescuing hundreds of families trapped by floods and rains in al-Abri, Tenhalen Valley, Yroub, al-

Fudaimi and other areas.

“During the evacuation procedures, the helicopter duties have been divided on affected areas in accordance to the need …. Approximately 70 percent of affected and trapped people have been evacuated and the work is ongoing until releasing all people in affected areas of the province,” the governor added in a statement to Saba.

He pointed out that coordination in evacuation of other trapped families is being done with the team of the Arab Coalition under the Command of Ali al-Shihri, and emergency teams and security forces are in a state of alert until salvaging all families from all affected areas

in the province.

Relief materials have been distributed immediately on the affected people and the relief process and evacuation procedures in the affected areas are still ongoing, Governor ba-Kerait said.

He warned citizens that there are information on floods from deserts and forests are on their way to Ghaitha, Masila, Sayhoot and Qashen and inhabitants in floodplains should be away and take care while flooding.

Governor of Mahra thanked the Saudi-led Coalition for quick response and sending jets to salvage people.

Minister of Information Muamer Al-Iryani called on the International Community (IC) to criminalize and condemn Houthi putschist militia’s usage of landmines in residential areas.In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Al-Iryani said Houthi militia planted thousands of landmines in the regions it had to fled after the government managed to drive the militiamen out. Hundreds of thousands of landmines were randomly planted everywhere including main streets, government’s facilities, houses and farms.He noted that seven civilians killed and dozens more wounded last Monday by landmines

explosions in the town of Attohyatah, southern Hodiedah, the Houthi militia planted upon controlling the area. The minister stated that the total number of landmines planted randomly, without maps by Houthis is far exceeding any others since the Second World War (WWII).Al-Iryani blamed the UN and IC for keeping on silence about Houthi militia’s crimes.He praised the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in demining through the Saudi Demining Project in Yemen (Masam).

Yemeni explores Polish cooperation

in training coast guards

Yemen’s Ambassador to Warsaw, Poland, Dr Mairfat Mujalli met Wednesday with Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Papierz.

Mujali’s conversations with Papierz aimed to explore polish cooperation in training Yemeni coast guards officers in the Polish Navy College.

Discussions also touched upon latest developments in Yemen, underscoring the catastrophic humanitarian situations created by Houthi militia’s coup. She also highlighted the lethal consequences of the landmines planted by Houthi militia as a result scores of innocent civilians are being killed and wounding including women and children.

The Ambassador asked the polish help in rehabilitating landmines’ victims.

The Polish official stated that he will communicate with Health Ministry in his country the question of receiving landmines’ victims, particularly children.

Al-Ghaitha, Yemen, Safar 8, 1440, Oct 17, 2018, SPA -- Yemeni province of Al-Mahra received the first of the relief bridge provided by King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) to assist those affected by hurricane Laban, which has hit most of the governorate’s districts during the past few days.

Two planes arrived in Al-Gheitha airport were received by Yemeni Minister of State Mohammed Abdullah Kaddah and a number of local authority officials in the governorate accompanied by a team from the King Salman Relief Center.

In the coming hours, the team will move the aid, which includes 20 tons of food baskets, into areas

besieged by floods and floods.

In a press statement, Yemeni Minister of State Mohammed Abdullah Kaddah lauded the intervention of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Center for the relief of to help those affected by the cyclone, appreciating the rapid response to the distress call launched by the Yemeni government and the local authority, in the governorate.

The King Salman Center for Relief mobilized a land convoy through the border crossing of Wadiah, carrying 125 tons of basic food baskets for those affected by the cyclone. The center also distributed 100 tents, 8 tons of food baskets, 1500 blankets and 200 mats to them.

Helicopters of the national military have continued to evacuate hundreds of families have been trapped amid heavy floods overwhelmed Al-Maharah province because of the (Lubab) tropical storm.

Governor of Al-Maharah Rajeh Bakreit told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) a number of helicopters have contributed to the underway evacuation efforts.

(Luban) sweeps water network way, puts drinking water wells out

of operationHeavy rain falls and floods caused by the (Luban) tropical storm have seriously damaged major drinking water wells in the area of “Fory” which provide Al-Gheidh, the central city of Al-Maharah with water supplies.

Deputy Director of Water and Sanitation Corporation Eng. Tariq Al-Kindi told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) key water wells along with the electricity generator which operates the well have been completely overwhelmed by floods.” Drinking water wells now are out of service”, said Al-Kindi.

Al-Kindi warned of a humanitarian disaster unless the drinking water wells reinstated immediately.

The heavy floods are also reported to have swept large portion of water distribution network.
