Welcome to South Main!

You’re invited to be a part of our family as we worship God, encourage one anoth-

er, and grow spiritually together.

When we meet together, we sing, pray, study the Bible, partake together in the

communion of the Lord's supper, and en-joy great family fellowship.

A fully staffed nursery is available. Ask an usher for assistance.

During AM services, we offer signing for those who are hearing impaired.

Bob’s Thoughts...

Joy To The World

“In Your presence is the fullness of joy.” ~ Psalm 16:11

Tragedy, sorrow and grief are all part of the experience. To live in a sin-filled world, is to experience the pains of death. Therefore, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to rescue us from this tragic condition. Joy to the world, the Lord is come! This becomes a personal reality when you, by faith, respond to the Gospel message. Jesus Christ truly is the Lord and Savior of mankind! Jesus came to the earth in human form in order that He might one day return to earth in your form. Upon receiving Christ, after your obedience to Him through faith, He promises to make His dwelling place within you. He does this through the Spirit.

Joy is a part of that amazing fruit of the Holy Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22. He is the sole source of true joy and He will produce it within you, if you will let Him.

We must allow the Lord to be in our presence. Let Him fill you with the joy and peace that passes all understanding. If you will practice this, He will enable you to endure whatever tragedies may come your way. God’s presence will fill you, uplift you, and sustain you no matter what! He will dull your pain and counteract the sorrow with joy. Every loss will become your gain as He works it all together for your good! The joy of His presence will get you through. Now that’s grounds for rejoicing!

Have a Great Week! Bob

The Family Life…

MTC Coat Drive Every month, over 300 female inmates are released from Henderson’s MTC prison facility. Many of these women do not have a coat when they are released to keep them warm during these cold months. Here is how you can help: Bring new or gently used coats, jackets, or heavy

sweaters to the church office and/or make a donation towards the purchase of coats

(Make checks out to South Main & notate “MTC Coats” on the memo line.)

AND, spread the word to your friends and family that we need lots and lots of women’s coats!

Optional: Feel free to tuck a note or scripture of encour-agement into the pocket. For more information, contact Bob Brown or Stephanie Goode.

Teachers The new Ellison Machine is now here and ready to use. It is a bit different from the previous model, so, if you have any questions, please see Elisabeth Sa-bella or Renee Hampton.
