Happy New Year and welcome back. The children have all come in ready for an exciting Spring Term and already enjoyed our postponed Cinderella pantomime.

CENSUS DAY

Thursday 16th

January 2020 You may already be aware through the press, school budgets are constantly being

reduced, meaning schools have less money to spend on their children.

One of the ways schools funding is determined is by the number of children taking a school lunch on census day. A school lunch is defined as “foods made available by

the school for consumption by the pupil”

This data is used to inform the allocation of universal infant free school meal funding based on average figures from census returns.

Therefore, it is important that YOUR child requests a school dinner on this day.

As a thank you, all those children that select a school lunch on 16th

January will receive a funky stretchy man.

Please encourage your child to have a school dinner on this day.

There is a special menu, a copy is at the back of the newsletter.

answers’ (for tests in 2020 and beyond)’ for £6.00, which has a retail price of

£14.00.

All Yr2 children have received a letter, with details of how to order.

Everyone who purchased the bundle last year found the books very helpful

in preparation for their child’s SAT’s.
