Mr. H. M. Marshall, one of the original Committee of Three which inaugurated the first movement toward the organization and incorporation of Unity Society, has returned to Kansas City after an absence of several years, and expects to again establish himself here in his business of expert accountant. He noted with much pleasure the many changes and improvements which have been effected while he was away from us, and which mark the prosperity that has been bestowed upon our Society.

A local healer recen tly told this experience in one of our meetings:

“ I was called up by phone one night by a prosperous business man, who said that he was a stranger to me and did not have any fa ith in my healing system, but a frien d of his who had been healed, urged him fo ask my help for his little boy who was dangerously ill with suppressed measles, and had been given up by the doctors. I told him I would trea t the boy at once. I also treated him the next day. Several days a fte r I was phoned by the father, that th e 'l i tt le boy fell asleep in half an hour a fte r he called me and slept all night, was m uch b e tte r next day, and was getting well fast. H e concluded by saying “ Doc., I guess we'll have to give you the c red it for curing that boy." "A nd th a t’s all he ever did give m e," concluded the healer.

This is a sam ple of m any sim iliar experiences by healers who trea t cases absently. People do not realize that it takes time and effort to give an absent treatm ent; but it does, and if you ask for such service you should be as prom pt in paying for it as you would had you called at the office and received a personal treatm ent. Always be just with your healers and teachers, and com pensate them for th e ir work. “ Blessings a re upon the just,” is a tru th , and those who strive to deal justly in all their affairs do have blessings poured out upon them. Give value received for everything you get. It is a form of th ievery to get something for nothing. If you ask the help of one who devotes all he r time to such work, even though it be sim ply talking to you, you should give a fee. You would expect to be charged a round price if you took the tim e and advice of a doctor or law yer. So you should, without compulsion, give for every serv ice ren d ered by the one who helps you to observe the D ivine Law.

T he time is a t hand for those who are freely receiving from these D isciples the W ord of the Spirit, to fulfil the law laid down by Jesus, “ Freely ye have received, freely give.”

Unity Guild has just turned twenty- five dollars over to the Building Fund; this makes a total of three hundred dollars which these active young people have added to the fund.

WEEKLY UNITY

During the six months, ending with the last quarter, Henry Christal and Alberta Yancy had not missed a day at Sunday School. Emma Luke had a record of three months’ steady attendance, and Frank Harling had missed only one Sunday. It will be interesting to note the increase in star scholars at the end of next quarter. The average attendance of the Sunday School for April was 106, an increase of four over the previous month. The school has steadily grown since its beginning.
